McShooterz's High Elves Enhancement

Description
Introduction

This is first and foremost my personal mod, which I play.

The intent of the mod is to make playing the High Elves for long campaigns more interesting by adding new content and re-balancing as needed.

Changes
What does the mod specifically do? honestly too much. Unlike a mod designed for mass appeal, this changes far too many things for easy compatibility but does so for a very specific feeling.
  • Replaces Imrik's dragon traits with a unified 5 level trait that increases with every legendary dragon defeat.
  • New unique dragon breath attacks for Imrik's dragons
  • Dragon breath attacks are more powerful, but limited to 2 and double cool down time
  • Dragons are more powerful but are more expensive, higher upkeep, and harder to get.
  • Dragon unit limits are capped, but can be increased with buildings.
  • Forest Dragons recruit-able from Dragon Keep.
  • [Requires DLC] All high elves can make each others unique buildings and units.
  • [Requires New Campaign] Some campaign starts are modified by scripts.
  • [Suggest New Campaign] Many new skills for High Elf Lords and Heroes.
  • Most Skills have been given more levels.
  • New technologies and added effects to less useful technologies.
  • New buildings.
  • Most buildings have additional context-based effects.
  • Gate guard increased size, added to wall garrisons and recruit-able.
  • Garrisoning armies reduces unit upkeep by 20%
  • Encampment stance reduces unit upkeep by 10%
  • AI takes the same attrition damage as player

New Units
  • Swordmen - Basic sword infantry.
  • Archers (Fire Arrows) - Archers with fire arrows that reduce enemy leadership.
  • Archers (Ice Arrows) - Archers with ice arrows that slow enemies.
  • Archers (Poison Arrows) - Archers with poison arrows.
  • Archers (Barbed Arrows) - Archers with anti-large arrows.
  • Archers (Explosive Arrows) - Archers with explosive arrows.
  • Archers (Magic Arrows) - Archers with magic armor-piercing arrows.
  • War Griffon - Flying monster that is unbreakable
  • Annulii War Griffon - Flying monster that is unbreakable and has some physical resistance
  • White Tower Wardens (Swordmasters of Hoeth) - Regiment of Renown.
  • Magma Drake (Sun Dragon) - Regiment of Renown.
  • Dread Wyrm (Moon Dragon) - Regiment of Renown.
  • Doomfire Tyrant (Star Dragon) - Regiment of Renown.

Downsides
  • Should be played in a new campaign.
  • High Elves lords can become extremely powerful.
  • Imrik with a dragon army can become virtually unstoppable.
  • High Elves can have a stupidly strong end-game economy.

Feedback
While this is created for my enjoyment, I could use feedback.
  • Bugs
  • Extreme balance issues
  • Suggestions for skill changes/additions
  • Suggestions for build effects changes/additions

Thanks, really enjoy your mod. Using it and the Phoenix Court mod, makes the HE really fun to play again.

So there was an issue back in WH2, where any High Elf other than Avelorn would only get 8 slots in Gaen Vale. I kept that fix from back then, but I do believe that has been fixed in WH3, so I removed that and updated the mod.

Hey noticed that there is an issue when this mod runs in conjunction with Reitschuster's New Building slots mod, which causes the Gaen Vale to show less building slot than are actually available, so while it only shows 10 slots you can keep building but can't see them. It is just the Gaen Vale and all other settlements have to appropriate number of slots as per the mod.

@ChopChop
All I did was add more levels to the dedication skills.

Yes, you can use the dedication skill levels from this mod.

I would be delighted and honored to invite you also as co-author of that mod :WH3_clasp:

Hello McShooterz and thank you for the fantastic mod. I am currently working myself on a compatibility modpack that will support directly your mod with hard requirement to subscribe to this mod here and make compatible with many popular High Elven mods like Alshuas Ellyrion or LOW Dragon Princes Legion and multiple landmarks mods. The Modpack will be to support my incoming High Elf collection that i am working on right now.

I was also working on another mod with dedication skills to all Elven Gods (Wood, High & Dark) and i have seen that you made great job with the dedication skills in this mod. I would not like to make my skills overlap with your mod and would like to futher extend them as a standalone mod Elven Pantheon for all elven race. I would like to request with credit to use the work you put in dedications skills please for the High Elf in this mod 🙏 it would make it compatible with this mod

It would be awesome and thank you for the work

I have not replaced any of Eltharion's skills only added more levels to them, so I have no idea what "lost requirement skill" means without more context
