Description
Encounter Stingray II Refit is a variant of the original SPRT Encounter Stingray II spawnship in the vanilla game, but with the added capability of interplanetary flight. Consistent with the original design, this build is completely vanilla (mod-less) and uses no DLC. To a very great extent, the ship's basic hull structure is mostly unchanged, but has been revised somewhat from the existing design to add new features. (I must've tried a dozen different variations trying to get one or two advanced refineries into this design, but I simply could not make it work without a significant change to the overall "look".)

This revision occurred after I captured a Encounter Stingray II during a recent survival game. I needed ore gathering, refinery, and assembler capability with mobility until I could establish a stationary processing station in space. This is my original survival ship that has been further optimized and makes for a decent, but limited range, courier or explorer.

Note that the two beacon timer blocks are now unused since the beacon has been removed.

VANILLA DESIGN; NO MODS; NO DLC

Fair enough!

It's an easy switchover to the DLCs. No, my refit logic is simple: if the encounter ship/station uses DLC, then I use DLC; if not, then I don't.

Ooh, this may be your best refit yet. Although I wish you had used the decorative DLCs for the interior. I get that you don't like your builds to be excluded from people who don't own the DLCs (and I myself am grateful for that), but in my experience the vast majority of SE players own the decorative packs.
