Description
Regarding [EoM]

Don't worry, I am not quitting modding.
However, some mods will stop being regularely maintained. And this mod is one of them.
Why? Because I don't use it myself since long. There are much better and more viable mods out there that accomplishes what this mod did.

Another Old Port.

With the release of Immortal Empires, I think it is about time to start porting over my older mods from WH2 to WH3!
This will be a really time consuming process for me, so it will likely take a very long time. So bare with me.

What does this Mod do?
  • Adds more pronounced smoke effects from cannons, rifles and pistols.

Some Info

Should affect Vampire Coast, Kislev, The Empire, Dwarfs, Cathay and Skaven.
Maybe Ogre kingdoms too.
Hopefully I missed none.


Known Issues
None atm

Compatibility
I DON'T make my mods with SFO, Radious or other overhauls in mind!!
New Save not required.

does this also affects on skaven weapon units?

this is the one to go, when playing big armies, wether 2 time scale or up to 40 units etc etc, and you dont have an Intel 24 core and an 4070* and 128Gig Ram.
bcs its the best Effort/specs cost one out There. Ex Smoke flash, for sure an spectacle, buit if you can watch it in slomop per 10 Frames well you should think of using GUV`s good old well suited one.
Cant tell about special units like ToD pistoliers, bcs , well only play IEE and there the southern custom realms:)

The Thrones of Decay version of Empire Outriders don't produce smoke when firing their repeater rifles.

But yes, both "Smoke & Spectacle" as well as "Extreme Smoke & Flash" - the two big boys on the court - can produce significantly better results. But I wouldn't be surprised if they use 40+ times and more (!) the amount of GPU power of this mod to achieve this results.

If you factor in efficiency and weigh it as high as you weigh visual fidelity, it can compete <3

This won't even cost you 1 FPS, folks. My recommendation for those people with 10 year + old PCs who shouldn't even think about running a mod for nicer smoke in the first place - and still do! I see you and feel your pain ;)

Hey @Guv Try to keep this online though, it seems to work with all gunpowder units unlike e.g. the Smoke & Spectacle mod which needs to built in support for certain new units...

And given how long this hasn't been updated, without any issues (at least as I'm aware) this looks like it will probably stay usuable without update until Neverneverday - or whatever the expression in English is. Forever, I mean <3

Plus it's really REALLY easy on the GPU, BUT still looks easily better than vanilla. And doesn't need the "Smoke Transparency Fix" submod.

Alright there Guv! Does this need an update at all? Just asking because there's another version by someone else who's mod needed an update, which got me thinking ^_^
