Declare Vendetta

Description
Picture this...
You're working your way up in the world, marrying your genius daughter to some Karling prince in hopes of securing a powerful ally. Then the prince imprisons and executes your daughter for some unknown reason. You're understandably peeved, but the game doesn't recognise that your character should also be peeved. You want vengeance, though your character is apathetic to your daughter's demise.

What does the mod do?
Allows characters to declare rivalry with anyone responsible for a family member's death.
Adds a temporary modifier for the declarer providing a boost to plot power and combat skill.
Can challenge the killer to a vendetta duel, custom-coded for this mod.
Careful, the duel is to the death.

How?
It's part of the diplomacy menu. Right-click on the killer's portrait.
Declare vendetta first, then declare vendetta duel.

When?
Any close family member who's been killed either by execution, sacrifice, known murder or berserker's rage.
The killer can't be a member of the declarer's close family or dynasty.

Are there limitations?
No limits for players or the family of players. You can all declare vendettas freely, if only one at a time.
AI is limited to their own realms and their own societies, and won't declare very often.
But the AI can always declare vendettas against players and their family regardless.
The AI will never challenge the player to a vendetta duel, though they can be challenged and will challenge each other.

@Renegade You might be beyond the mod limit. So perhaps unsubscribing from something else and resubscribing here will fix it. That's one solution. As an alternative solution, send me a request and I'll give you a link (I don't want to post link publicly)

Any chance of providing this mod on a secondary site? Workshop is not providing me the files.

I've beefed with a teenager who executed his mum (who was my niece) as the 65 year old Byzantine Emperor, 10/10 would do the Roman execution thing on him again.

@Ludren That sounds correct. You need to target the murderer to declare the vendetta. Even if it's obvious who did it in your case, your father would need to publicly appear in the killer's kill list.

@capdaddygc So, my character was killed but I (as my heir) can not declare Vendetta. Do I misunderstand how this works? Possible because the guy doesn't have the "known murder" modifier?

@Capdaddy This is useful to know.

@Dr Fraud This mod doesn't touch any vanilla events. Everything is entirely inclusive, so the problem you're having isn't coming from here.

I'm not sure if it's this mod, but it was the last one added before this problem.

I'm playing through as part of the Byzantine Empire and opt to support the rebels. Next thing I know I'm getting a dialog about betraying the rebel leader and how disappointed he is along with a loss of 250 prestige.
What? I just said I would back him and his faction! I end up being called into the war on the Rebel side anyway.
Re-loading and choosing the other option results in my backing the existing Emperor who is my loathed rival.
