Buildable Towers - Reduced Range (Rebalancing Settlement Battles)

Beskrivning
Hello there! This mod significantly reduces the range of Buildable Towers in Minor Settlement Battles and Siege Battles by 55%-60%. This affects both the Player and the AI; both on attack and defense.

This mod only affects Buildable Towers in Settlement Battles/Siege Battles, it does NOT modify the range of Survival Battle towers OR Wall Towers! (they are all separate and distinct types of towers)

This increases the fun factor through the power of significantly less annoying "where the hell am I being shot from?", and more decision-making/tactical plays to have units avoid towers (on attack) or attempt to assemble meaningful choke points (on defense).

More Details:
  • Affects all races and all buildable towers
  • "Effective Range" changed from 350 to 150
  • "Minimum Range" changed from 35 to 15
  • "Calibration Distance" reduced by ~50-60% across the board. This is different per race and tower type, and is used for accuracy calculations!

COMPATIBILITY:
This mod should be relatively compatible, as it makes the bare minimum necessary to buildable tower range. If you're using another mod that interacts with the same data then YMMV!

Also, this mod is existing save game compatible! Feel free to add & remove at will with no adverse effects on your campaign!

Aye I think that one basically met the needs for "disable the real time building mechanic", so nobody else felt the need to double up :WHII_Death:

Definitely feeling the need for it now! (FYI I don't delete mods for this very reason)

No luck on my current machine, unfortunately. I'll see if I can dig it up by some other means.

I'm shocked that there aren't more mods out there that do the same or a similar thing.

Aww bummer, I loved that one! :er_sad: I'll see if I can replicate it when I get a spare moment, but I don't have a copy of their mod anymore, so I'd have to do it from scratch
