I was also wondering if you were interested in making a 1-2k diameter version, which would substantially help with issues that arise from a planet this massive in-game.
Aside from the unloading of the planet sometimes, currently terrain in mountainous regions unload in the view of the player, causing the terrain to sort of "wrap around" the player, making for a dizzying experience. I assume the only real way to fix this would be either increasing view distance past the limits of the game settings or masking this effect with the curvature of the planet. I've tried increasing the view distance to 250km but this has resulted in the planet unloading.
Still, I love huge planets for SE, especially with real orbits, and I think this concept should be further explored.
