Aerodynamics Lab
Welcome to Aerodynamics Lab! Here we take aircraft from other sources, and apply our own sute of overhauls to improve inter-compatibility and ease of use, along with realism and other features. This is not intended as a replacement for the work of others, but rather, a pre-configured add-in for others to use on its own, or as a dependency for their own work. The changes made here tend to be quite sweeping, such as aerodynamic changes, weapon changes, and internal systems changes, so our own faction Aerodynamics Lab, has been provided for reference and standalone usage. Why are we BLUFOR? We are a contractor, after all.

Feature: Flight Model
-Flight Model: New flight model for FIR F-14, F-15, F-16, with improved performance and internal fuel volume. Use your afterburner to go over Mach 1!
-Improved afterburner: Based off current aircraft weight, thrust, estimated drag, and the equations for specific excess power, with realistic fuel consumption.

Feature: Weapons
-Weapon Box: Weapons from base Arma 3 and SOG:PF are implemented for aircraft, with derivatives, such as AIM-7F/M, AIM-9L, and modified AIM-9M. Aircraft can also carry SOG:PF bombs and AIM-120 where possible.
-Internal Cannon: Deserving of a mention on its own, the M61A1 in this mod is a special derivation from the base game's M61 and SOG:PF SUU/23A.
-BK-27 Cannon for JAS-39
-Air-to-Ground expansion: Overhauled and standardized AG weapon lines, much easier to read and sort through.
-AGM-84 Harpoon, SLAM, SLAM-ER: Inherit from the Arma 3 BGM-209 Venator cruise missile and behave similarly; SLAM variants use all-round precision laser guidance while the standard D model Harpoon carries a RADAR guidance system.

Feature: Sensors
-Sensors have been overhauled to have vanilla and SOG:PF compatible ranges and capabilities. Advanced fighters with large radomes such as the F-15C/D APG-63(V)3, F-15E APG-82(V)1, and F-14F have long-range 20km RADARs, while other aircraft like early-block F-16C/D have small 12km RADAR sets.
-Aircraft with modern AESA and ground-scanning RADAR sets, like the F-15E's APG-70 will have useful ground-scanning capability.
-Target Pods (TGP): Some aircraft variants are TGP-capable like the F-14B/D/F, F-15E, F-16 B40/42, F-16 B50/52. When the TGP is mounted, Visual/NV/IR sensors are enabled on the aircraft which follow the TGP view. Target Pods also now use the JAS-39E's target pod gimbal limits and functionality as a reference.

Feature: Loaoduts
-Pylons: A number of options are available, including both real-life arrangements and some theoretical ones, such as bomb racks for the F-15. Use the SOG Master Arm module to make full use of this functionality!
-Aircraft Variants: Aircraft variants will have different default pylons depending on their approximate introduction date. For example, the F-15C/D [APG-63(V)3] carries AIM-9X and AIM-120C by default, while the [APG-70] model carries a Gulf War loadout. Most planes have at least three editor-placable sensor/loadout variants: Cold War, Late Cold War/Gulf War, and Modern.

Feature: Skins
-Easy Retexturing: Use the vanilla texture picker to choose your livery. Use the SOG Master Arm module to make full use of this functionality!
-Aircraft Type: Textures are available based on what is compatible for that aircraft type, so some anachronous liveries can be chosen. For example, the F-15A/C can apply the same set Compass Ghost and Mod Eagle liveries.

Feature: Ejection System
-Improved ejection system: Static parachutes from SOG:PF are used, and neither the ejection seat nor canopy are deleted.
-Survival kit: Ejector seats contain a compact rifle along with survival items for behind enemy lines or unknown territory.

Feature: Drones and Logistics
-QF-XX drones now fully support the UAV Terminal. Use these as targets or as a drone swarm!
-HEMTT Family to AL Faction. To simplify the process of logistics using the SOG Master Arm module.

Feature: ACE Compatibilty
-ACE Compatibility: Built-in where applicable, especially for vehicle fuel consumption. Fuel loads reflect the internal fuel tanks of the aircraft.
-ACE Facewear: Most visors from FIR AWS now have proper tint color and protection based on variant. This includes variation based on open/closed/black/clear visor types.

Feature: Miscellaneous
-HUD color is adjusted to match those used by other aircraft in the base game, specifically the F/A-18X (F/A-181).
-Improved Vapor Trails: Excess trails are removed, and effect types are changed to match those used in SOG:PF cDLC.

Notes
The adjustments made in this mod are intended to be compatible with the base game and other mods. Where I was unable to obtain information through my own research, I used DCS and other flight model patches as inspiration (especially for fuel consumption rates). I only own FC3 in DCS so I can not confirm the accuracy of the F-16's flight model, but it appears to be balanced enough when I've flown it.

For mod-makers wishing to use my aircraft in their own mods, take a look at the configs I have set up for the faction Aerodynamics Lab. You should be able to copy and paste those and adjust what you need.

If there is something you think I should adjust in my flight model, syestems, or mod overall, let me know! I am by no means perfect and more ideas means a better mod.

If my testing has been correct, I believe the stall speed is somewhat too low compared to the real world performances of the aircraft. I would love to get a chance to talk with you to perhaps improve the current flight model.

@Frosted Flake Radar (and Russian Weaponbox and More) update is being co-developed at the same time as the next update to Total Warzone due to sharing some internal class structures and features. The Excel spreadsheet and math is done for every in-game plane class (and then some!).

@Skyried The ejection seat system is a slightly modified version of the vanilla ejection seats. Instead of pointing to vanilla/existing scripts, I redirect ejection to scripts which don't lock+delete seats, and implement custom seat classes with pre-set cargo.

Really love the ejection seat system - is there a possibility of it becoming a standalone or is it something that's tied directly into the aircraft system itself?

One of the major points of this mod is that the "each skin requires a class" system is replaced with the vanilla Virtual Garage. If you want to use specific livery, there are many ways to view the Virtual Garage texture options and apply the one you want via script, or if you have a mod, you can make a soft dependency with the texture options pre-applied (like I did with Project Red Dawn).

Hi again thx for the rapid response, how about making each f-15 and f-16 model in this mod spawning with different skins as included in the Firewill's mod.

Modifying existing aircraft classes is out of scope for this mod since it would break many, _many_ scripts and such both within Firewill's mods and other players' mods and missions. Best I can suggest is checking with the author and/or documentation of the other mod to see if you can add custom unit classes to it.

What I am basically asking for is making the bombs in SOG prairie fire able to be used by original f-15 and f-16 models or any other addon planes.
