[DEPRECATED] PRR GG1

Description
This is now included in the base game and no longer needs to be downloaded. I'm leaving it on the workshop for now to prevent any disrupted saves.

The Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 class electric locomotives were produced from 1934-1943 by General Electric and the PRR's own Altoona works. Able to travel at 160 km/h, they were designed with passenger service in mind, running between Washington DC and New York City. When the PRR's successor Penn Central went bankrupt in 1970, the United States government assumed control of the GG1s. Passenger service would continue under Amtrak, while freight service was taken over by Conrail. The GG1s would remain in operation until 1983, when they were replaced by the Swedish-designed AEM-7, after having served for 49 years.

Model and textures by superplunger.

Thanks to AlexDad and LovelyPL for the guides.

If you'd like to see another livery or new vehicle made, feel free to leave any suggestions.
--------
Notes: I made the final available year 1963 instead of 1943 so it can still be available to those who don't play before 1960.

echoing Mustarchioed Marxist, it'd be nice to have the conrail, PRR and amtrak skins in game. Especially the conrail skins.

Only problem is the vanilla version doesn't have the Conrail or Amtrak skin. Maybe add those back in via workshop mod? ;)

the GG1 is underappreciated imo, good to see it getting recognition

i think your style would lend itself well to more US transition-era stock; an EMD GP-7/9, Alco RS-3, perhaps even the widely-exported G8 and G12s

Yay! You listened! I love it.

I've got one of these on display at the railroad museum in Altoona, PA not too far from where I live. It's sadly a bit beat, but they have plans between them and Norfolk-Southern RR to restore it.
