Civilian River Junks (static collection)

Description
This composition features a complete rendering of several Vietnamese River Junks, these craft were a mainstay in Viet Cong smuggling and supply operations in the Mekong Delta region. These boats were used by civilian and guerrilla alike to move goods around the waterways and villages of the delta. You'll find four unique designs in this pack, representing 2 different styles of Junk with both full and reefed/folded sails. You may need to move the sails slightly to get their overlapping aligned if rotated. (See more below)

This Civilian River Junks static collection is a part of the Mobile Riverine Force (MRF) and S.O.G. Prairie Fire Community Mod Collection(s), designed to enhance the history behind and experience of the Arma 3 Creator DLC: S.O.G. Prairie Fire. Be on the lookout for more mods to be added to the MRF collection soon!

Please visit the Mobile Riverine Force Association[www.mrfa.org], the Seawolf Association[seawolf.org], or the Gamewardens Association[www.tf116.org] for more information about these amazing sailors and soldiers...and if you happen to meet a Vietnam Veteran, please take a minute to shake his or her hand and say "Welcome Home". Even now, some Vietnam Veterans are only beginning to get the acknowledgement and gratitude they should have received the day they stepped foot back on U.S. soil.

To each and every Vietnam Veteran: Thank you and Welcome Home.

------------------------------

River Junks were an absolutely critical part of the Mekong Delta's economy and daily life. Beyond their role as a heavy goods transport they also served as the homes of many Vietnamese families and storefronts for merchants as they moved between villages. While only a select few are shown here, you can be sure to expect more to be released in the future.

NOTE:

This composition makes heavy use of setObjectScale, however it is completely multiplayer compatible.
You'll notice it looks very different when placed in the editor, all objects will be scaled upon mission load.
It is strongly recommended to only place this composition while in the editor, before mission load.
