CHONK MkI

Description
Vanilla premium DLC ship.
Survival-ready.

The Chonk Mk1 is a light mobile industrial-themed base capable of higher than usual jump distances, and capable of landing and lifting off of planets (1.2 Gs max tested).

It's not a war ship, but rather fits more into the light carrier category, sporting 2 dorsal hangars for small fighters/utility ships, and an ample rover bay setup to store 4 small/medium rovers securely. The rover bay is pressurized through semi-automation, and has two folding ramps, one at each end, for easy loading/unloading of rovers. There are also couches to recharge your suit, and a mount for a small projector to build rovers in a safe environment.

The ship is H2 fueled, and has a drill arm to aid in asteroid ice collection, as well as other ores.
There are 2 advanced refineries, both outfitted with full yield modules to get the most out of your ores.
The ship comes with 1 large cargo container, and multiple small cargo containers for easier cargo access.
There are also cargo crates and storage shelves to aid in staging supplies independent of the main conveyor system.
Furthermore, there are some hidden cargo compartments for smuggling operations. Can you find them?

While this ship looks massive and heavy, it is actually surprisingly light for its size. This is due to the interior being mostly hollow, and utilizing light armor. There are large, depressurized sections of the ship between the hull and interior on both port and starboard sides that act as a buffer from flank attacks, and also allow for user expansion of the interior to fit your needs. The bridge has double pane windows for an added layer of protection from debris and light gunfire.

Armaments on this ship are minimal, mostly point defenses set to target players/NPCs and incoming missiles. The ship does have some offensive capability with twin forward mounted rocket batteries, a rear missile turret to discourage pursuers, and a few gattling turrets to harass fighters. It is advised you run an escort ship alongside this ship, or keep it away from battles. You have plenty of jump capability to get a safe distance, unless you're planet side, in which case you'll want that escort ship to defend against large ships.

The primary power comes from a large nuclear reactor, and a decent array of batteries.
There is space to add H2 engines if you so desire them.

I was originally not going to upload this ship, but people liked the look, so here we are.

39th rule of acquisition: Don't tell customers more than they need to know. ...and especially don't tell them what's in the coffee.

There's a wee Easter Egg, if you're observant enough to spot it. Clue: It's in the forward section of the ship. :ujel:

"Power couch?"
Lol, never heard that before. Does it mean using couches as a way to regen suit power?

Ahh, a fellow "power couch" enthusiast, I see you too are a man of culture. Cool ship!

I'm honestly surprised how many people subscribed to this. Maybe I should upload my builds more often. I guess I'm my own toughest critic.
