Nightshade made as fanart for tomato, thank you for being a silly ass fruit and making such a wonderful discord server where I got to meet my friends, you helped me out a lot even if unintentionally, and thank you to all my friends for helping me test the nightshade during its development and giving me advice on how to improve it

    !!! IMPORTANT !!! the nightshade has a lot of buttons and controls that might be hard to identify without help, i labeled all there functions which appears when you hover over them however i have posted a much more in depth users manual in the discussions which tells you everything. controls should be easy to memorize when you know its function hopefully. if you run into any issues let me know!

  • FEATURES

    Auxiliary systems: the ship features both auxiliary engines and ballast pumps that can be toggled

    Mass bilge: system forces all the doors in the main cabin of the ship open and activates a powerful pump to allow for repairs

    Nav terminal reactor shutdown

    Nav terminal red alert system: activates alarms across the ship and turns the lights red

    Nav terminal silent running mode: when activated shuts down all noise causing systems on the ship as well as lights and automatically switches the ship to battery power

    Cockpit screen proximity sensor display

    Pride mode: causes all the lights to shift through rgb

    Cam system: allows for access to both external and internal cameras from the bridge

    Systems switchboard: allows for individual systems onboard the ship to have there power toggled

    Autodoc: allows for several stacks of syringes to be fired into a single target

    Research terminal

    Power outlets: relay components in each room for new devices to be pluged into

    Named diving suit lockers, self charging

    Secure storage lockers

So far this has been the best submarine I have come across but it has a major issue, some of the text is so small that I think only ants would be able to read it, otherwise top notch submarine, gunnery is good with indication for gun locations, nice and tidy placement and very amazing aesthetics.
Fix the tiny text and I do say it's a perfectly made and very strong transport submarine! :captainsmooth:

im sorry i havent posted in a while, ive been distracted with other things in life and have been taking a break from barotrauma to work on other things, i will try working on the nightshade to fix some of its issues , however i am also currently working on other projects so it may go slower. im sorry the sub isnt working well anymore :c i havent been focusing on baro updates and didnt realized they changed some stuff w how sub equipment works

Overall a lot of neat ideas, but this has been by far the worst sub I've ever used.

The reactor is constantly spicy. We have the reactor upgrades maxed out and it's constantly on fire. Switched to a normal vanilla sub, no issues at all with the vanilla sub.

For an AI fix, you could slap a ladder in the middle of your elevators, some subs do that just for the bots to work properly

ALSO i forgot to say but if you wish to use the nightshade in videos or streams i am fine with it as long as im credited and its not used in a way that's rude or offensive, if you have any questions regarding using it in streams or videos lemme know! ill try to reply as soon as i can

updated sub to fix some of the issues, theres prob still some bugs and i couldnt fully fix the path finding issue in the electrical tube but they shouldn't be getting stuck anymore. if you find any more bugs or have any tips on how to make the waypoints on the ship better let me know!!!

I really enjoy using this submarine, however I think the "tube" between gunnery, electrical, medical - that general area, could use a slight rework.

Online this sub would not be an issue per se, but for singleplayer the AI will get stuck in that particular area and not really anywhere else.

Other than that I really enjoy the submarine, and it looks quite nice aswell. Thank you for the time put into it!
