Zizo Railroad Signals Enhanced

Description
This is a custom railroad signal made for better readability, even from a distance.

This signal is controlled on the usual frequency 440 by a boolean (on/off) signal on composite channel 1, but it is also able to be controlled directionally with a custom railroad switcher. With that system you'll be able to only switch signals facing towards you, whilst leaving the other ones untouched as well as forcing them to switch either to the left or to the right.

It is not necessarily a realistic sign but it merges different signal styles from real life ones.

Note that the required item linked is not actually necessary, this works with normal radio controls too.

Installation:
Disable the default rail signal addon and enable this one.

Features:
  • RGB Lights, red and white, with yellow blinking warning lights while transitioning.
  • Better lights readability from a distance, since not using the poorly rendered indicator lights.
  • Physical robotic arm that moves to indicate left or right (L/R)
  • Works well even in multiplayer as if the lights desync, the physical robotic arm will always signal the right direction.
  • Works with default radio controls (440).
  • Works manually with a button.
  • Works directionally with a special remote controller: only the signals facing the opposite direction you are facing will switch.
  • Their state can be switched either to the left or to the right intentionally, so if for instance you want to go to the left all switches already to the left will stay, while the others will change their position.

thank you. i guess i'm a bit upset with things as well. mostly because of my difficulty understanding how to build a MC and the logic involved. this old brain just doesn't pick up things as easily as it used to. i studied logic and logical fallacies when i was younger so i thought dealing with logical systems would come easily to me. sadly, the two are quite different.

Hello @Nerd^3(USA), I wasn't quitting but I was showing my discontent with the current game state in general. It's all back now, there is no point on punishing the community.

how i missed your reply, i don't know. old age, probably. lol
reason i asked is i thought i read somewhere that you were quitting SW and disabling all your content. nonetheless, thanks for the reply. much appreciated.

I feel like stormworks been a little bit dead recently, so I gotta ask, does this mod still work?

You can modify this addon and republish it in any way you prefer, as long as you credit it for its base contents.

Hello Zizo, I guess it would be useful if the signal broadcasts its own status and their own location and/or facing, or simply their ID(if we can give them). We'll get multiple signals in the same frequency for sure, but we can filter out the information we want by filtering out their data.

If we can go even further, it will be kinda interesting if they can send the last train visited, with the train's ID, information, speed and direction etc. Sure, we need to establish a complex and detailed communication protocol and corresponding train control system (to report their ID and status) but at least it would be fun.
