Progressive Terraforming

Description
Adds new terraforming research that allows placement of some terrains

Placeable terrains include:

Stony Soil (this is the only soil placeable on stone terrain)
built with 15 Mulch

Soil (can be built on rich soil, lichen-covered soil, sand and stony soil)
built with 5 Mulch

Rich Soil (can only be built on soil)
built with 10 Fertilizer

Mud (can only be built on soil)
built with 10 Mud

How to get the materials?

first you must build a mulching machine which will make mulch out of wood or organics and fertilizer out of corpses. to make mud you must soak mulch in a Mud Vat which can only be placed on wet terrains.

Version 1.1
changed how the mod works in the background
limited placement of terrains
corrected spelling
fixed bug causing massive building wealth in colony creating massive raids
HurDirp 5 Jul, 2022 @ 6:35am
some of the terrains add wealth, I was on a desert tile and was confused why I had over 2 million wealth in buildings and having to fight 30 raiders with 3 people lol. the dev is my roommate, he said he'll fix later today, just thought I'd give a heads up.

Delivering compost to create land is conservative. By no means is this progressive.
Holgast 1 Jul, 2022 @ 9:52pm
oh yeah, you should definitely switch to a patch rather than overwriting existing defs. check out the 'patchoperations' page on the wiki and pop over to the official rimworld discord for help

Ill correct my spelling, thanks Holgast, this is my first mod tbh and I'm not sure how a patch would work
Holgast 1 Jul, 2022 @ 8:19pm
Also, does this overwrite some of the vanilla defs with similar names? wouldn't it be better to patch it instead?
Holgast 1 Jul, 2022 @ 7:19pm
Hello! I'll be patching my bonemeal fertiliser mod to work with this. I notice that your stony soil has a minor typo on it, 'gravely' should read 'gravelly'
