DPSExtreme

Description

DPS Extreme!
Ever wondered who dealt the most damage to a boss? Ever felt the need to track your Damage Per Second in relation to your friends? Have you ever wanted sweet, sweet looking meters to show off how much your character dominates bosses? Well, you are in luck, as DPSExtreme is now available for use.

DPSExtreme provides a Team DPS and Boss Damage meter for use in multiplayer. (In single player, it does nothing.) While fighting bosses, you can see live stats on how much damage you are dealing compared to your teammates.

Compete with your friends to see who can deal the most damage to bosses as you fight them. For added fun, try challenging bosses with the same weapon and see who can get the most damage in.

How to Use
To use, first you need to assign a hotkey. Make sure to go into the Keybindings menu and assign a hotkey to toggle DPSExtreme.

(You can also type /teamdps in chat if you don't want to assign a hotkey)

You (and your friends) also need to have purchased a DPS Meter from the Traveling Merchant.

Now you are ready. In DPS Mode, you can watch the Damage Per Second of all players in the world. If you are fighting a boss, click the top of the panel and it will switch to Boss mode. In Boss mode, damage tallies for the current boss you are fighting are updated. Once a boss is defeated, a chat message will also report final stats.

Features

Here we can see that damage from Traps and Friendly NPC are also accounted for.

Do you prefer to inflict fire or poison? Damage over time from debuffs is also tracked. Many bosses are immune to debuffs though.

You can also hover over player names to see them

Video
Here we see DPSExtreme in action. Note how damage stats are synced to clients at regular intervals. In this video you can also see how TownNPC and Traps separately figure into the damage meter.

Limitations
As of now, a few bosses aren't tracked completely correctly. I noticed that only the last stage of Golem is tracked, but there are other bosses might not work yet either. Feedback and code contributions are much appreciated.

Planned Features:
  • Track events in some way
  • Track damage per weapon, minion, mounts, etc.
  • Track damage by team
  • Open to Feedback and Suggestions, come to discord or github to suggest

Sometimes moving the mouse to the panel will cancel the attack? Can you add a switch to lock the position of the panel?

Can you change it so that you do not need the DPS meter to track everyone's damage?

is there any way to enable this in singleplayer? the main reason i want this is to see how much damage i did to the boss before i die. the boss despawns too quickly so i cant see how much damage i did or how much health they had left. ive been getting around it being disabled in singleplayer by hosting an offline lan server but there are some mod limitations on multiplayer.

would be neat if there was a setting to automatically show this when a boss is defeated/despawns for like 15 seconds or something so players can discuss how the fight went without turning it on or watching it mid-fight
