解説
Welcome to the Enclave, Commander
This mod introduces the Farsight Enclaves faction to Gladius Relics of War.

The Farsight Enclaves, known as the "Forbidden Zone" in the T'au Empire, are a series of heavily-fortified T'au colony worlds that are independent and indeed opposed to the rule of the T'au Empire and its Ethereals. They are ruled by the legendary Fire Caste Shas'O Vior'la Shovah Kais Mont'yr, known to the Imperium as Commander Farsight, and lie on the far side of the Damocles Gulf region of the Segmentum Ultima in the Eastern Fringe of the Milky Way Galaxy.

The warriors of the Farsight Enclaves are the most rebellious of the T’au, eschewing the assistance of the Ethereals and instead following the teachings of Commander Farsight – a legendary hero who left the T’au Empire to pursue his own goals.

The Farsight Enclaves are known for their mastery of close assault, using their battlesuits to great effect in mass drop assaults from Manta transports. On the tabletop, the Farsight Enclaves possess a Sept Tenet that opens up a new tactical avenue for your army, making your force surprisingly deadly in close quarters.


The Farsight Enclaves is single city T'au faction with mobile resources collectors that focus on close quarter battlesuit alpha strikes with strong hero support.

FACTION TRAITS
  • Aggressive Footing - infantry and monstrous creature units have +1 accuracy and -17% ranged damage reduction against adjacent enemies.
  • Collectivism - production bonus for identical buildings sharing the same tile. Penalty for different buildings sharing the same tile.
  • Seismic Fibrillator - increases acquisition rate of city tiles.
  • Manta Strike - Jet Pack Battlesuits start with fly and additional movement unit they make an attack.
  • Skyscape Architecture - allow an additional building to placed on each tile.
  • Blooded Through War - shaken or broken units using Bonding Knife Ritual become Fearless for 3 turns.
  • Counter Strike Cadre - +2 accuracy to disembarking units, embarked units heal 50% faster.
  • Retribution Cadre: increases unit size of Crisis +1, Bodyguard +1 and Stealth Suits +2. Also increases their cost.
  • Additional Missile Pods - gives Crisis Battlesuits, Crisis Bodyguard and Cadre Commander an additional Missile Pod weapon at the cost of one support system slot.
  • Distant Colonies: -10% research

Re-worked drone mechanics
I tried to minimise the amount of micromanaging necessary by making most drone abilities passive.
Shield Drones now provide +2 armour to all adjacent units.
Pulse Accelerator Drones now grant +1 pulse weapon range to all adjacent stationary units.
Stealth Drones now grant +17% range damage reduction to all adjacent units.

Drone controller now grants -5 cooldown reduction to drone summoning.

NEW UNITS
Extractor Drone - resource gathering unit.
  • Extractor Protocols: the drone is immobile and automatically gathers resource bonus from adjacent special resource feature. Gathering resources gives your city the resource feature's secondary resource bonus. This is the default state when drone is first deployed.
  • Prospector Protocols: drone stops gathering resources and becomes a mobile flyer.

      • Branched Nova Charge: allows this hero to use two Nova skills in one turn. Nova skills stack.
      • Unique
      Drone Harbinger - a vehicle that spawns guns drones.
      • Drone Network Controller: grants nearby drones +2 accuracy, stacks with Drone Controller.
      • Mobile Drone Factory: heals all adjacent drones by 4hp and add +1 to drone group size

              Great mod, nice to have a mix of SM monocity with extractors and AdMech for identical buildings. Some feedbacks (mostly fixes):

              1. The HQ needs "Field Amplifier Relays" as Tau HQ/units have "Supporting Fire"

              2. Strike Teams research description needs to mention Breachers
              3. Breachers and Breacher Team are missing Markerlight
              4. Farsight Pathfinders have "Move Through Cover" while Pathfinders Team and Tau Pathfinders don't

              5. Gue'Vesa Auxiliaries are missing weapon's name/description, basic infantry traits and Markerlight
              6. Gue'Vesa Team would be a fun addition (with Assimilation granting +50% pop growth) ;p

              7. Shas'vre Farstrike is missing an ability's icon/name/description
              8. Ghostkeels' two Fusion Blasters aren't Twin-Linked like their Tau counterpart

              9. Editor's unit list shows Farsight versions of Kroot Hounds and Vespid Stingwings, unsure if they're used anywhere
              10. Editor's unit list shows a leftover "unknown unit", just needs to be deleted

              Mod is truely amazing making me again want to play Tau (my favourite faction) but encountered a bug and features which I would suggest to be changed.
              Bug: research for additional buildings per tyle doesnt work.
              Features I suggest to change:
              1. Allow player to make new cities but like Sisters of battle new one should have only one tile range (unlockable at T6 as a help in late game)
              2. Manta strike could become an ability for manta unit which would work just like Da Jump of weirdboy (there are documented situations where whole stuffed with troops devilfishes were deployed this way) instead of just bonus for starting units which isn't very useful or at least I couldn't find a use for it.

              This changes would allow for more tactical approach and allow faction to at least try to compete with late game giants like AdMech and Guard where lack of additional resources and unit production really is visible.

              I might be blind but I can´t find the Orca in any of the production buildings.

              There is a bug with the bigger firewarriors and pathfinder teams. if you change the teamsize with the trait they disapear.
              The bug triggers because you started not with a st0 in the traits of the firewarrior and pathfinder files.
              Example:
              <addTrait name="FarsightEnclaves/Spawn/PathfinderST1"/>

              This is the start of the traits xxxST1 up to ST10 so the Pathfinder disapear after upgrade.

              if you start with

              <addTrait name="FarsightEnclaves/Spawn/PathfinderST0"/> up to xxxST9

              it works as intended.

              The breachers are fine there you started with ST0

              Something just occurred to me. I started a match as Farsight and the few spots I'd like to have built in with the Orbital construction drone were taken by wireweed, and it lacks Clear tile.

              It's a minor suggestion, but could it be given that for just such a reason?

              Hi Spacious. Try it. I doubt it, because this is a new faction and Tabletop Squad Sizes appears to be for vanilla game factions only.

              I'll be keeping my version of Breacher for Farsight because it fits their character more.
