Compared to game start ~$20,000 this is 1-2 missions or loot boxes to step up to this.

The locator system on the left is activated by a toggle. Then it is an automatic data transliteration (ranges vs your movement) that goes through "loading" stages as you move about. When it has a good fix it displays a map style target based on overlap points of range rings. It might shift the target as better data comes in.

The map on the right is activated by sitting in the chair. You can set maypoints by using M to open the game map, set a waypoint there, go to the large keyboard by the monitor, select the waypoint icon in the bottom right. This then copy-pastes the position from the game map. Be sure to hit the checkbox to "commit" or "enter" the waypoints.

The two together work very well for getting you onto a transponder signal.


In the cabin below there is a few more character gear: arctic clothing, diving gear, empty clothing (for swapping), compass, binoculars, flashlight and a set of tools: fire extinguish, welder, underwater welder.

There is also an oxygen handheld representing the modern approach to crew safety with little breathers in the inhabited compartments in case that is where you are when some weird accident occurs. In this case if you start flooding while sleeping.

Heaters with manual control are in the pilot house and the crew cabin below. Automatics not set as the temperature sensors are expensive for this early point in the career.

Minor RP outfitting of a galley for your comfort on multi-day trips with the necessary Canadian kettle; small fridge w mini freezer; sink; stove tops; microwave and storage (the beige pieces). Forward there is also a toilet and aft a crew fresh water tank. This is to show the transition to improving crew habitation but McKenzie is still meant to be returning to a port every few days.

Vessels in the BBW “river” series:

This series began with what I feel is a necessary presentation for a qualified Stormworks designer is their own version of starter boats. A theme of the Canadian Coast Guard was selected largely as this is my homeland of Canada with one of the largest coast lines of the world plus massive river and lake networks. The boats are named for major rivers in Canada and/or the people those rivers were themselves named after. The general shape of the boat is maintained throughout with only slight changes in hull shape.

Thelon design began as improving on the Gen 3 to reduce slipping off the deck. Improvements continued to fully enclose the upper engine and cargo bay. It is now well suited to operating in arctic conditions with increased heating and durability. Armor and rifles for defence from wildlife.
