Description
Adds new batteries to the game!

Description

Are you craving variety? Are you tired of having to place 100+ traditional batteries to fuel that "modestly sized" capitol ship you have been working on? Well you are in luck! Fresh off the factory floor, TBH Industries presents our newest line of batteries! A revamped take on the classic large grid battery, the 'Industrial Battery Small' will add a little spice to your builds, whether it be a humble logistic ship, or a rough and tumble fighter! Our state of the art 'Industrial Battery' is sure to please those who specialize in building large vessels. This battery is rather expensive, but packs the punch of 30 standard batteries!

Features
This mod adds four new batteries for the Large Grid and Small Grid! (More in production)

Industrial Battery
This massive battery outputs the same amount of power as 30 large grid batteries but weighs almost 1/4 less! With that being said, the cost of building such an enormous battery comes at a high price.
  • 840 Steel Plates
  • 900 Construction Components
  • 750 Computers
  • 2400 Power Cells
Max Power Output: 360MW
Max Power Store: 90MWh
Dimensions: 3Lx3Wx3H
Weight: 84,150kg

Industrial Battery Small

This battery functions, costs, and outputs the same as the regular Large Grid battery but with a TBH Industries look! These batteries were designed with the 'Interior Column' block in mind, and flow nicely with this block.

Industrial Capacitor

A capacitor that is able to output a high amount of power at the cost of being able to store a very minimal amount! This block aims to even out the curve of power hungry systems and the number of batteries needed.
  • 100 Steel Plates
  • 50 Construction Components
  • 20 Super Conductors
  • 4 Bulletproof Glass
  • 25 Computers
  • 40 Power Cells
Max Power Output: 60MW
Max Power Input: 40MW
Max Power Store: 0.2MWh
Dimensions: 1Lx1Wx1H

Industrial Capacitor Small
The same as above but for small grid!
  • 25 Steel Plates
  • 5 Construction Components
  • 5 Super Conductors
  • 4 Bulletproof Glass
  • 2 Computers
  • 10 Power Cells
Max Power Output: 20MW
Max Power Input: 13MW
Max Power Store: 0.2MWh
Dimensions: 3Lx3Wx3H

I forgot to post an update on my previous comment. I looked into the published version of the mod and the scratch work was already removed. I checked over all build stages for both the large and small grid models and found no issues. I am unable to reproduce the error ocCa Setos78 is experiencing, so if anyone else notices an issue please report it. Until then, I am going to consider the issue a one off.

@ocCa Setos78, I haven't checked the published version yet, but I may have found something that could be causing it. There is some rogue geometry I left on the small grid capacitor (Some scratch work I had way off to the side of the model). This could be causing some weird issues, especially if a ton of them are used. I am going to check the large grid version as well and aim to push out a fix tonight if I can.

Yes, we have run it with other mods, but it's hard for me to imagine what mod it can work with, in the future I will probably try to find a mod that it is not friends with. I'm leaning that the game itself is miscalculating your blocks and overloading the system.

@ocCaSetos 78, that is very strange. There is really nothing major that could potentially cause this, unless I forgot to simplify one of the build stage models. Were you running this with any other mods when this happened? I will check over the files and see if I can find anything funny.

Good afternoon.
I really like your mod, stylish and with good ideas.
I tried to put it 4 times, with long breaks and in different conditions. But as a result, I met the same problem -
for unknown reasons, this mod loads the system very heavily when it starts to cool the computer very much (which indicates an increased load on it). I also noticed that some textures of other blocks (mostly from other mods) disappear.
It's hard for me to imagine what could cause such a reaction to your mod, but alas, the way it is. Your other mod does not cause similar problems.
P.S. tested on a very powerfull PC.

@Siv Thank you! As long as it is unlisted you can go ahead :]

Hey Wonzy, great models! May I have your permission to balance this for my small private server (just me and a couple friends)? I have another battery mod that fits the theme better, but your capacitor models are absolutely perfect. I want to split the capacitors out from the batteries and change the costs and specs to be balanced with the rest of the server. Thank you for considering my request.

Thank you for the feed back! I will look and see if it is possible to make them deplete last, although I do not think this is an out of the box function for battery blocks. The weight should be easy enough to adjust.
