This mod adds a number of tarp and cargo net blocks to the game. They serve as great decorative options for your base, especially if you're going for a more industrial or ramshackle look. The cloth of the tarp-variants is even slightly animated. The mod also includes some pillars to hold up your tarps.

AQD - A Quantum of Depth is a project of mine, encompassing multiple small and larger mods aimed at improving the gameplay experience and eventually overhauling larger parts of the game:






Tarp blocks can be painted and even support skins. They are also animated and will wave slightly - moreso if the weather is stormy.

Cargo Net blocks can be painted but do not support skins. They also aren't animated.

The mod furthermore includes two pillar blocks - one full-sized and one half-sized, matching up to the points where the tarps and cargo nets are attached.

  • I will likely add small grid versions of these blocks in the future.

I love this hanging tarp as room divider, just bad, that there arent diagonal ones.

They use the same skins as armor blocks so it should be about the same.

Do the tarps hide grids below it? So that a camouflaged tarp is visible worse than a camouflaged armor block?

As mentioned in the description, I'm not at all against it. It's just that my focus is currently elsewhere. :-)

Any chance I could talk you into adding small-grid variants?

They'd make a great addition for the aesthetics of just starting out and you put up a lean-to off of your drop pod or even just stop your rover exploration for the night and "camp".

Also, one of the shelters I taught my aircrew to make was a plow-point. Super easy to make with a poncho, 3 stakes, and some cordage. It would be awesome to see you add that shape to the profiles for that true "survival" aesthetic.

is there a way these could be made to be lightning proof like make them block the strike but take no damage?

I'm not sure as that isn't a screenshot I took but my guess would be AWP.
