Description
Holding Sprawl showcases the sprawl system designed by Tobbzn.

This mod requires three flavour packs since it reuses 3d assets from them.

Special thanks to Kefír úr and their art from the CK3 Coop.

Features
• Sprawl graphics for Continental European, MENA, Mediterranean, Indian, Iberian, Sahelian, Guinean, Burmese, Slavic holdings.

• Monasteries, farms, camps, stables, blacksmiths and barracks appear on the map when buildings are upgraded.

• Goidelic, Slavic, Burmese holding graphics for castles, cities and temples. Guinean, Sahelian, Tibetan, East Asian holding graphics by Kefír úr.

• Unique holding graphics for Ethiopian, Turkic, Sami, Brythonic, Greco-Roman, Levantine, Eurasian Steppe. Unique holding graphics by Kefír úr for Akan.

• Graphics for special buildings: Pagan grand temples, Universities, Khotyn Fortress, Golden Gate of Kyiv, Temple of Uppsala, Cathedral of Uppsala, Walls of Benin with unique sprawl, Bamber Cathedral, Knossos Palace Ruins, Serpent's Wall in Ukraine, Divochy Skely natural wonder, Martand Surya temple, Newgrange, Offa's Wall, Danevirke, Carthage Cothon (and Canaanite Pagan faith).

• Additions to the map: salt rocks, savanna trees, basalt outcrops, granite outcrops, lichen, moss, desert rocks, desert valley. Doubled the terrain material resolution. Detailed trees.

Requirements
• City sprawl: Castle, Temple or City holding tier 4, Tradeport or Guild Halls tier 5. Development above terrible, not a tribe. And the baronies of London, Paris, Cordoba, Venezia, Constantinople, Baghdad, Cairo, Jerusalem, Kyiv, Merv, Fes, Laksmanavati, Pataliputra, Varanasi, Mosul, Alexandria, Lahur, Anahilapataka, Madurai, Kanchipuram, Aksum, Makka, Al-Madina, Al-Kufa, Samarqand and more!
• Barracks: Barracks and Regimental Grounds.
• Monastery: Monastic Schools and Megaliths.
• Stables: Elephant Pens, Camel Farms and Stables.
• Outposts: Outposts, Military Camps, Smiths, Workshops and Wind Furnaces.
• Farm: Farm Estates, Cereal Fields, Pastures, Hill Farms, Plantations, Orchards.
• Camp: Peat Quarries, Logging Camps, Quarries, Hunting Grounds.



The Bishopric of Brentford in this image has the Farm Estates and Monastic Schools buildings, adding a farm and monastery to the map.

Known Issues
• WIP: Some sets have temporary sprawl.
• WIP: There is only one type of monastery for each culture set, not religion set.
• WIP: Missing sprawl, incorrect walls, missing entirely. Possibly an issue with the ordering of assets in sprawl_background_graphics_buildings. Assistance appreciated.
• The sprawl system is static in appearance. It does not work like Imperator: Rome's sprawl which fills a province with random buildings. The sprawl does not adapt to the province in this mod, nor does it adapt to other models or water.

CK3 Mod Coop Shared Resource
Holding Sprawl is a shared resource on the CK3 Modding Coop Discord. You may use this mod and the graphics in your mods for Crusader Kings 3.

You cannot use the illustrations in this folder.

The illustrations were made by Scratch for the More Holding Graphics mod, and you will need their permission.

All necessary files to add sprawl to your mod:
common\buildings\99_background_graphics_buildings.txt A base game file, emptied. common\buildings\sprawl_background_graphics_buildings.txt The new background graphics, still working on the order. common\scripted_triggers\sprawl_graphical_background_triggers.txt Is enabled triggers. gfx\models\buildings\holdings\sprawl Entire folder. Contents of folder contain meshes and textures. gfx\models\buildings\holdings\sprawl\00_sprawl_main_assets.asset This file contains all combinations of sprawl graphics. Then adapt the other holding graphics and special buildings to your mod.

It's so weird that the initial game doesn't have this build in, and I can't seem to find anything remotely like this, CoW3 is just not the same anymore, the sprawl system was removed from CoW as well. But something just for a world that seems more alive. I can't find anything like this. It would really be amazing to see an update on this, since the game seems to be finished now.
