UnicornPoacher's Guide Savegame

Description
This savegame is designed to give new and learning players a chance to examine a demo of operations up and running on a map, with examples of techniques discussed in my game guide. This is a "hard" savegame using no mods. I hope you enjoy and the save gives you some ideas for your own games! :)

What is done particularly well on this map? What could be improved? For the infrastructure? Optimizing profits/transport line usage? How high can you push the average profits?

Wow! This is a great tutorial and a great map! Super impressed at how *elegantly* the lines and roads seem to flow across the landscape. Beautifully constructed cities. Sets a very high bar for me and I have learned *a ton* by studying how the UnicornP laid out the hubs and routes. Big time kudos to UniP! Thanks for sharing.

Sorry mistake below, its picking up products and distributing to and from the cities on the ends of the lines, not planks specifically.*

Hi Zephyer thank you :) The setup you asked about below is because Burlingame Yard is set up to be a freight hub. It's distributing goods to the city, but it's picking up planks from the local branch line to be delivered elsewhere to be further processed into other products. This helps to maximize the efficiency of the line as the best case is when a line is fully loaded for its entire journey!

Wow.. very nice to see this map and how everything is working out.
Although I do have a question, and perhaps I'm not looking at it correctly, but it looks like that line XFER-R, BLGM-HVTL is dropping of stuff at Burlingame Yard but alson picking it up.

The line states that this line is to load and unload 100% all available stuff... is this as indented and if so, why?

Very satisfying, but why do your trucks stop at a random truck stop at the end of their routes?
