San Montino island

Description
Welcome to my first map San Montino island.

San Montino island is a map suitable for smaller to medium sized cities. The map has very neutral theming, this way you can customize it to your liking by (for example) adding palm trees to make it feel more tropical. The map has some large mountain ranges along with some flat valleys to build on. it also has lots of possibilities for ports, airports and smaller towns.

This map is created in a compact way so that it is easier to fill out your map/city. the struggle to fill out acres of land is definitely reduced here.

The highway that runs trough the island is connected to 2 sides of the map so traffic can flow trough. if your highways get too busy from the cars that are passing trough, you could try to add toll booths or create a tunnel on both edges that connects the highway with a shorter route.

For this map i used the Laviante map theme + LUT, i you decide to use these as well, please also download the ultimate eyecandy mod to brighten up the map.

Visual mods i used in the screenshots are:
- LUT: Laviante
- Ultimate eyecandy
- Ultimate level of detail (recommended)

Other recommended mods:
- 81 Tiles to take advantage of all the space provided. Works really well with just 25 or even the vanilla 9 tiles too.
- Prop & Tree anarchy to prevent some trees disappearing at launch due to collisions.

Congrats on the B3 Review! Just my kind of map. I love small island maps. I might even finish a city! Field painting a a minor issue with me. I prefers laying out resources independent of the field. More natural. Plus you can put the resources in different areas that don't make it too easy to build all of them right away, but can make for strategic square purchases! Like putting the ore in the mountains and off shore makes me have to decide to spend to terraform to get alt the resource or spend $ to import and ore till I get off shore mining! The Trees poking through places and pillars are Meh to me. 2 sec fix when I get there. BonBon's suggestion of a one click collection is a big deal. Makes getting the map up and running much easier. I have 75% of the items already, but others may find it off putting. GREAT first map. Hope to see more work from you.

@KikiMarieHenri Yes this is indeed my first map, thank you! I did have some experience with the map editor since i've been playing this game for years haha. And thanks for the feedback, i'll adjust the clipping parts.

This is your 1st??? Wow! What a first map this is! Definitely is a good size for a smaller city. I do like that. The only quibble I have is 1 ramp pillar right on top of a train track and an off ramp that is sloped into a quay. It doesn't matter to me, but for folks that want to play vanilla (with this asset list, who knows) that may be a point of contention. Other than that, I'm saving this for my next city build. Thank you for sharing! :)
