Honda NSX (NC1)

NSX（エヌエスエックス）は、本田技研工業が生産・販売する2シーターの乗用車。
1990年から2006年まで販売されていたNSXの2代目モデルであり、ハイブリッドシステムを搭載している。

2代目NSXの開発は、栃木県にある本田技術研究所が中心となって行った。
3.5LV型6気筒ガソリンエンジンを先代同様ミッドシップに配置、さらにハイブリッドシステム「SPORT HYBRID SH-AWD」を採用し、リチウムイオン電池を72個、モーターを3基（エンジンアシストするダイレクトドライブモーター1基、前輪を左右独立で駆動するツインモーターユニット2基）搭載する。

出力はエンジンが507PS、ドライブモーターが48PS、前輪のモーターがそれぞれ37PSで、システム最高出力は581PSを発揮する。ボディサイズは全長4,490mm×全幅1,940mm×高1,215mmとなり、先代モデルから全長40mm、全幅130mm、全高45mmそれぞれ拡大された。またエンジンの搭載向きが先代の横置きから縦置きとなった。V6エンジンのブロックとヘッドは、コスワースの製造拠点で生産されている。生産はホンダのアメリカ拠点でもあるオハイオ州メアリーズビルに80億円をかけて設立した専用工場で行われる。

車名は初代の（New Sportscar X）ではなく、新時代のスーパースポーツ体験（New Sports eXperience）からきている。

性能・価格共にポルシェ・911ターボやアウディ・R8などのスポーツカーやスーパーカーと肩を並べることとなった。なお既存の工場で混流生産される日産・GT-Rに対し、専用工場などの設備投資を行ったNSXは価格が上昇したという意見もある。また生産終了により専用工場は6年ほどの稼働で閉鎖される。

The NSX is a two-seater passenger car produced and sold by Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
It is the second generation model of the NSX that was sold from 1990 to 2006, and is equipped with a hybrid system.

The development of the second generation NSX was led by Honda R & D Co., Ltd. in Tochigi Prefecture.
A 3.5L V6 gasoline engine is placed in the midship as in the previous generation, and a hybrid system "SPORT HYBRID SH-AWD" is adopted. 72 lithium-ion batteries and 3 motors (1 direct drive motor to assist the engine, front wheels) (Two twin motor units) that drive the left and right independently.

The output is 507PS for the engine, 48PS for the drive motor, 37PS for each of the front wheel motors, and the maximum system output is 581PS. The body size is 4,490 mm in length x 1,940 mm in width x 1,215 mm in height, which is 40 mm in length, 130 mm in width, and 45 mm in height from the previous model. In addition, the mounting orientation of the engine has changed from the horizontal installation of the previous generation to the vertical installation. V6 engine blocks and heads are manufactured at the Cosworth manufacturing site. Production will be carried out at a dedicated factory established in Marysville, Ohio, which is also Honda's US base, at a cost of 8 billion yen.

The car name comes from the new era of supersports experience (New Sports eXperience), not the original (New Sportscar X).

Both performance and price will be on par with sports cars and supercars such as Porsche 911 Turbo and Audi R8. There is also an opinion that the price of NSX, which made capital investment such as a dedicated factory for Nissan GT-R, which is mixedly produced at the existing factory, has increased. Also, due to the end of production, the dedicated factory will be closed after about 6 years of operation.
