I'm always looking to improve, so I do appreciate honest feedback and criticism. I have altered ships in the past in response to comments made.
As for the "flat and unpolished" visual design. We all have our styles, and what may be appealing to you may not be to others, and vise-versa. I spent a long time pouring over the design of the exterior to get it as presentable as possible and came up with something that I'm proud of, and matches my style.
The shape this ship uses works well for combat ships with heavy front armor, while keeping the thrusters in the rear makes them somewhat hidden.
And that's where we run into issues, this ship is definitely not made for that type of combat, judging from the gun locations, most of which are broadside and for broadside ships a good shape is being somewhat wide and flat, with armored sides.
Also the solutions are pretty simple, not enough of something - add more, too much PCU - optimize the design.
Waste of PCU for the size
Tons of ladders that are annoying to climb
Typos like emergancy and hanger
Strange weapon placements, especially for missile launchers, that make them pretty much useless
Low thrust
For some reason basic assembler and refinery
Cluttered control panel and toolbar config
Only 3 O2/H2 generators
