Description
Size 1.0

Designed as a replacement for the aging 105mm bolter that has been in service since the early days of the RCN. The Mass Driver technology differs from Raven's standard railgun technology by utilizing the electromagnets to propel the projectile instead of direct contact with the rails.
It does however have the capability of standard railgun operation for slow charging powerful shots against more armored opponents.
This fully contained unit can be bolted onto the decks of any existing warship but will have to be manually reloaded by changing out its internal magazine if not tied into a below deck feed mechanism.
Its dual fire mode operation give it greater combat usage than our standard railguns and future developments for larger weapon systems may integrate this new design. The fire modes are "High Power" and "high RoF" on high power setting the rails are charged requiring 1.5 seconds to charge the shot, where on high RoF setting it fires 3 rounds per second utilizing the magnetic field. This does of course come with the drawback of much slower projectiles. thus making L.R.A.P. a poor choice for the high RoF setting and V.T.H.E. rounds can't handle the stress of high power setting making A.P.H.E. the only round usable by both fire settings.

Ammunition: (Power/RoF)
L.R.A.P. - 15kg projectile traveling at (8000 / NA)m/s resulting in (480 / NA)MJ of KE
A.P.H.E. - 16kg projectile traveling at (7600 / 860)m/s resulting in (462 / 5.9)MJ of KE and a explosive filler of 523g TNT equivalent
V.T.H.E. - 13kg projectile traveling at (NA / 910)m/s with an explosive yield of 4.2kg TNT equivalent
