A2021 Parclo 8-Ramp Interchange

In 1 collection by MaxFX
CS Service Interchanges (modded)
41 items
Description
This is a Parclo 8-Ramp Intechange. It's a 'service interchange', connecting a highway to a regular road network. Because of the many ramps the traffic lights on the two intersections only have two steps in one cycle (see screenshots), which leads to a great traffic flow.

Interested in more service interchanges? Check out the Collection

The road markings you see in the screenshot are saved into the asset. If you want those markings to be visible in your game, you'll need to subscribe to the Intersection Marking Tool.

Several TM:PE options are saved into this asset as well. Except for 'Timed Traffic Lights', as these are not availlable in the editor. If you want those options availlable in your game you need to subscribe to the Traffic Manager mod.

- Cost: 37.040,-
- Maintenance: 472,-
- Size: 116x56
- Max. height: 4.5m
- Min. height: -4.5m
- Nodecount: 37
- Lane mathematics are applied for a good traffic flow.
- Lane connections have been applied.
- No clipping lightposts/streetlights (lights going through roads situated above them)

- As always; flatten the entire area the blueprint/template covers.
- Smooth out the terrain after placing.
- To fully enjoy this interchange you need to subscribe to a couple of mods. These mods do not affect your games performance. They only add extra very handy tools to your game.

Because '3-lane highways' are the most commonly used highway type on maps, I've created this interchange to be connected (the highway ends on the interchange) to these 3-lane highways. The 4th lane on the 4-lane highways are used as exit and entry lanes.

Enjoy!

Want to know how 'Lane mathemetics' work and how to use the functions of TM:PE? I recommend watching some of Biffa's traffic fixing video's on Youtube

Any comments, suggestions and/or feedback is much appreciated! And if you like this collection so much that you think others should see it as well, then please rate it!

Yea that's what I meant to say.
Doesn't it make more sense to do the offramp before the on-ramp?😅

Just an opinion from my perspective. I do like some of your other junctions tho. It's just easier to be criticial xD

@TastyFlavour: You mean the weaving of traffic just like with a Cloverleaf? Yes, the weaving is something that isn't preferable both in this game as in real life.

Nice thing about this interchange is that the amount of traffic that wants to go onto the highway using the inner ramps is divided in half by the additional on-ramps! This interchange is basically the Butterfly interchange I created earlier but with four additional ramps added to it: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2592374642&searchtext=butterfly

Always great if people experiment and create new interchanges, but they on-ramp and off-ramp are dangerously close together if people want to go off and on at the same time. There would be a lot of crashes or close calls from a realistic perspective
