Girls' Frontline Resistance Faction: ARC

Description
Welcome Back, Shikk-wait, wrong Commander. Meet a hodge podge of resistance groups that revolve around peculiar war machines. And the not so peculiar ones if you have other mods installed.

Summary
ARC is a limited faction ala my Allies Unknown faction: they don't provide help with a chosen but otherwise have resistance orders, spawn most other covert actions, etc.

ARC's resistance orders are geared for being more on the more unusual/specific end, along with replacing the default method for gaining access to Support Strikes from that mod. To compensate for these being more limited or otherwise specific in function, you get one card slot from the start with them.

The method of advancement is also non-typical: they used a dummied out but still functional system of influence score: as you do covert actions and missions for them, you will eventually hit the higher ranks of influence instead of needing to do special covert actions that bump them up to their next rank.

Non T-Doll recruits can pull from either supported robotic soldier mods (by default, the EWR, HK, and Geth mods, but any other robotic soldier mods that act like standard humans can be supported through config entries) or be standard humans, and come equipped with a custom class. The chances for this can be modified in the mod's XComGameCore.ini file, if you wish to increase the chances for robotic units, let recruits be other classes, etc.

T-Dolls
T-Dolls are ARC's contribution to the resistance movement: robotic soldiers that can easily integrate with human soldiers while generally outpacing them in general abilities. They can come with both a random series of perks and specified ones depending on the model.

Getting them from ARC (aside from your first time bonus for making contact with them) will require working on joint operations with ARC. These will restrict your squad to 4 or potentially less, but are also made easier with the presence of friendly ARC operatives on site alongside the soldier you will get for XCOM once you successfully complete the mission. (For obvious reasons, that soldier needs to stay alive if you want them afterwards)

For budding mod makers, the pack for Squad 404 (link here) provides a demonstration of how to build a T-Doll usable for this mod's system through .ini and basic ability creation. (Well, the abilities themselves aren't basic but the framework for them is).

You can also set a preferred class setting for a specific T-Doll if you want them to spawn as a particular class.

Known Issues
Support Strikes has plans to overhaul how it works so I'll need to revise those resistance orders at some point.

Reward units that have Gremlins or other cosmetic units as weapons won't spawn with them properly: I don't know why, abilities still work ok, it'll fix itself once you get them into XCOM proper.

Thanks & Credits
RustyDios for making the Resistance Order images
Mitzruti for the perk pack used to help build out the custom class
E3245 for the Support Strikes mod and answering some questions on how to work with it
ph0ne for porting those cosmetics to XCOM 2 that gave me brain worms until I finished this mod
and of course MICA team for making a gacha game that makes you sound a bit crazy when you try to explain it to someone not in the weab ecosystem.

kadra, oh..... 19 Apr @ 11:34pm
this mod have a bug where if youre covert ops is result in a ambush, its would load an broken underground ambush map with no way of escaping

this as of now, have yet to be fix, and itss also replace with the lost mission. (which probably explain why my last two run, i have yet to met a lost ambush map.)
if you use LWOTC, this is important to know:

WHEN DOING A MISSION TO RECRUIT T-DOLLS, DO THE MISSION /IMMEDIATELY/. Like, click on it and activate it IMMEDIATELY. If you don't, the game glitches out and the 4 you sent on the mission are permanently trying to infiltrate on a mission forever, and cannot (to my knowledge) be recovered.

This is not this mod's fault or hate on this author; I love this mod and am still using it. Just be sure that when you complete the resistance ring mission thing, and go to a squad menu to deploy to the mission, CLICK. THE ICON. AND ACTUALLY GO INTO THE MISSION. /IMMEDIATELY./ and. maybe save before you do.

this brought to you by my 12 best soldiers who are forever in limbo because I was too dumb to realize what was going on until I'd screwed it up THREE TIMES. Yeesh.

For the record the console command is not needed. If you don't see the faction at the start of the game, don't get nervous. After the first supply drop it will spawn the contact Covert Action.

Also shoutout to Jason, it's always great to help such nice people

@Endermarke I am curious about the same thing. For general information: If support strikes is not used this mod will work with the exception of the resistance cards for weapons support. I like the joint missions. One issue I have noticed is the hacking by these units does not seem to work on towers. Regarding the card that can provide Sectopods; it seems the probabilities are not balanced between all possible mech units. I got Sectopods a lot, followed by Andromedon shells.

About mission to get T-dolls, why these allies only have T1 rifle when my people use T3 long time ago? They only can make enemy in battle and die in 2 turn. Even with that red MEC. And my people needs to have a hard fight.

I gain a sectopod in a mission by one card, It's very coooool.

I used this mod a few times and noticed some issues:
-generated soldiers are very likely to have a tdoll part in them so the model looks very wrong
-support gremlins generate as floating heats. i assume theyre supposed to be fully invisible
-joint missions dont always generate every month so its up to luck if you get a full squad or only 1
-since classes are random and cant be changed its up to luck if the special traits synergize or clash with it
-the model with less movement speed can generate with the opposite as a bonus perk
The tdoll bits issue is the most annoying. is there a mod to blacklist modded cosmetics?
Also can i somehow add some of them to the starting roster?

@RealityMachina Just for your information. I am using this mod without Support Strikes and it is working fine. I have had two joint missions and both had no issues.

I am testing this mod to date, I had to correct the Spanish translation because of the accents... nothing serious.
- with LWOTC: works fine, except that the infiltration is null, and if you leave it infiltrating and select it again, it makes you send another squad, so you permanently lose the first one you sent (it stays fixed at 200%).
- Solution: if the warning appears that you must do it, accept but do not prepare a squad, go back to the map and select the mission again, there you can start it with the first squad.

Sorry for my English, I'm Spanish and I'm using google translator :D

Yes, the mod is incredible.
