Electrical Substation

Description
*Work in progress*

Overview

An electrical substation that demonstrates the use of different electrical components such as a transformer, circuit breakers and more. I'm a Powerline Technician apprentice and I find this game is perfect to make electrical related creations such as this substation.

What are substations?

Substations are essential to distribute electricity. We generate electricity in many ways, from nuclear, to hydroelectric dams or even diesel engines. Depending where you are in the world, the voltage that we generate is generally low and ranges from 120V to 30kV. All of this is okay, until we have to transmit electricity over long distances. Using Ohms Law ( V = I x R ), and assuming we know the resistance/load of the city or town you live in, we could find unsafe amperage levels from the voltage we generate. This would mean more heat loss and the need for way bigger conductors. That is where transformers come into play and allow us to control our distribution according to the resistive load and keep amperage on the conductors stable.

Features

⦁ Subtransmission pole line replicated at 69kV
⦁ Distribution pole line replicated at 13.8kV
⦁ Secondary bus bar carrying 120V
⦁ Two (step-down) transformer of different sizes
⦁ Circuit Breakers
⦁ Small substation building
⦁ Bucket truck

⦁ Blue Phase powers the street lights
⦁ Pole lines can topple
⦁ Batteries in furthest sub-transmission line to replicate incoming circuit

*Substations usually contain many more components to function properly.

Location

Located at the Creative Island.

Notes

I plan on trying to make missions with these in the future and allow bigger pole lines to be connected; however, you are more than welcome to use my build in your creation, please simply credit me in return :)
Any questions or concerns, please comment below.

Credit

I would like to credit the creators from the creations that I have used in my build. I will link all of the creations that I've used in my build below.

nice creation...
I was just gonna ask if I can borrow the conductor part of your creation?
I am curently working on a nuclear reactor facility and I just need astetics so I got the idea of putting a conductor in it
only problem is: I don't know how to build one
I'd link this creation in the description (if it ever makes it onto the workshop)

very nice and underrated build, and definitely very cool for scenery in screenshots & to mess around with when bored. you should definitely make more stuff like this.

can be possible with a tilt sensor when it reach a degree it cut the power off

can there be porblums so that you can fix power lines like shortes or a tree hit a powe line something like that you shold do that:steamthumbsup:

I mean static structutes have some sort of infinite electricity. And their components and such don't drain batteries. But I think they can be drained if you connect another vehicle to it.

Every time I try to change the build from "not static" to "static" and spawn it in it acts as though its not static (the poles). I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but the electricity works on both settings for me. What part isn't usable? And thank you so much!

Nice to hear!

Some people have used a different vehicle (not static) for generation and consumption. I just wish there was a cleaner way to do it.

Great job with this btw! I really like it!

Also I used your Image to Lua generator and it worked great, thank you :D

I wasn't aware this would be a problem and I'm not too sure how to fix the problem. I'll have to look into it, however I know that it works when its not static.

How do you deal with electricity not being "usable" in static structures?
