Description
This mod adds 7 new types of grenades to take advantage of CE mechanics.



Shaped Charge

«A plastic explosive designed to destroy walls and equipment with minimal collateral damage. Upon detonation, releases a directional blast, which makes it ideal for blowing up doors and quickly jumping into the breach afterward. For maximum effect, must be carefully planted high on a wall from a close distance. Safe to throw into campfires.»

Thanks to CE's new update, directional explosives are now possible. This one's primary objective is to be a breacher weapon. However, with perfect timing, it can also destroy mechanoids just as well as fortifications.

Anti-Tank Grenade

«Old-school anti-tank grenade, consisting of a shaped charge on a stick supported by large stabilizing fins. A direct hit with this grenade will punch through most armor, while a near-miss will do little to no damage. Rarely used by modern armies due to its unwieldiness and slow deployment.»

This grenade is intended to be a middle ground between a stick bomb and a disposable rocket launcher. It penetrates most armor on direct hits, but flies quite slow and will often miss quickly moving targets. It is lighter and cheaper to make than M72 LAWs, but very bulky.

Stats and texture based on Panzerwurfmine.

Defensive Frag Grenade

«A stronger version of the offensive frag grenade. Explodes on impact, releasing a great number of sharp fragments. Such grenade is intended to be thrown from entrenched positions, as the frags might harm an uncovered user.»

This grenade is intended to be an alternative to the vanilla frag grenade. It is more dangerous, both to target and to user, has more fragments and explodes on impact. Slightly more expensive than the alternative.

Stats and texture based on RGO.
Incendiary Grenade

«Grenade filed with chemfuel used for quick area denial. Sets flammable surfaces on fire in a large radius upon explosion. In the hands of a swift bushranger, a pack of these grenades can easily engulf the whole forest in flames.»

This grenade is intended to be an alternative to Molotov Cocktails. It has a bigger explosion radius and costs more affordable chemfuel instead of the rare prometheum. However, it will not set heavily-armored targets such as Mechanoids on fire and will be largely useless in desert areas.

Stats and texture based on AN-M14 TH3.
Pipe Bomb

«Improvised throwable explosive device. Releases dangerous frags after the explosion. Due to a lack of proper tools and materials, it lacks the raw power of a normal frag grenade. What it lacks in damage, it makes up for in availability and compactness. A weapon of choice for rebels and outlaws.»

This grenade is intended to be a cheap imitation of a frag grenade. It doesn't cost FSX to make, which makes it more appealing to resource-starved colonies, but the fragment count and explosion damage are accordingly worse.
Prometheum Bomb

«Heavy prometheum tank repurposed into a throwable bomb with a timed fuse. Once the timer runs out, prometheum gets exposed to oxygen, causing a violent explosion that drenches everything nearby. Capable of turning even the coldest spaceship into a raging, smoking inferno, which made the bomb popular among space pirates.»

This bomb is a much stronger version of the Molotov cocktail, possessing a wider area of effect and a more powerful explosion. However, it costs a lot of Prometheum and Steel and is very heavy.
Stinger Grenade

«Less-lethal grenade commonly used by urbworld law enforcement and wasteland slave traders to incapacitate groups of unarmored people. Releases tiny rubber balls that cause muscle spasms on impact. Should not be thrown directly under the target, as that can maim or even kill weaker humans.»

This grenade is designed to be an explosive version of shotgun beanbag shells. It causes bruises and muscle spasms but will lack accuracy against dispersed targets. Useful to capture prisoners or put down unruly colonists.

Stats and texture based on M9590 Stingball.
Thermobaric Grenade

«Heavy fragless grenade most often used by stormtroopers to clear entrenched positions. Creates a ground-shaking explosion that tears apart unlucky foes. A formidable weapon against both man and machine. »

This grenade is a stronger, more expensive alternative to the frag grenade. Instead of peppering the opponent with frags, thermobaric grenades rely solely on the powerful explosion. Will perform better against bunched-up groups of armored targets, but requires more resources to make and inventory space to carry.

Q: Non-steam download/Source code?
A: You can also download this mod from github [github.com]

Q: Is this compatible with CE?
A: Yes, and it cannot function without CE.

Q: Is this compatible with Grenade Tweaks?
A: Yes, there is a patch integrated. All grenades that are not direct impact can be thrown overhead if Tweaks is installed.

Q: Vanilla version?
A: A large portion of code relies on CE's systems, so this mod wouldn't make much sense without those. You're free to create a vanilla version based on this mod, though.

Q: What apparel mods are used in the preview pictures?
A: Combat Extended: Armors and Tastier Vanilla Clothes

It's just a weapon mod, shouldn't conflict with hair rendering. Don't think it even has any C# code, only xml defs

Finally, i can leave pipe bombs in peoples mail boxes in rimworld

(valve auto-mod, please understand i do NOT want to make pipes bombs)
