MESTRAL MPVS-03 Lite

This Multi Purpose Salvage Vessel (MPSV) is named after a wind called Mestral (also known as Mistral). It is a violent, strong, cold northwesterly wind that sometimes reaches 185 km/115 mph and blows from southern France into the Gulf of Lion in the Northern Mediterranean creating some very bad sea storms.

Mestral started as a project for a medium Mauric SAR 320 but it ended up as a Mauric on steroids. The mestral is a big ship for stormworks standards (50 m lenght) designed for operations in the Arctic. Although it is equally well suited to operate elsewhere. It is powered by 8 engines and equipped with thrusters, two RHIBs, Heavy towing equipment, water cannons, Crane, Space for two containers on deck, cargo hold for a ROV , Medic bay, More than enough space to acommodate a large bunch of rescuees and the bridge has it all, radar, sonar, lidar, etc...In other words, all the bells and whistles you may think of.

Very heavy seas? No problem. Tsunami head on or straight on the side? No issues. Whirlpool? She will survive. Holds enough fuel for a trip from the south of the sawyer islands to the arctic and back at economic speed (>26 knots).

All doors on critical areas are self closing hatches, so you don't forget doors opened and end up with an unwanted/uncontrolled flood if the ship end up crushed between icebers in a bad storm, but there are keys to keep them open if so you wish. Also, I decided not to put player sensors to activate lights, as real life ships usually don't have them. The commands in the bridge are synced with the engine room, but not the opposite, so if you touch something in the engine room remember to leave it as it was when you are done, or the commands on the bridge will show "off" when actually is "on".

Instructions:
1.- Make sure the RHIBs are connected to the davits. If not, climb up there and connect them manually. Wait until the automatic system kicks in and tighten the ropes.
2.-Go to the bridge, turn the key on the main panel (Main Systems On/Off) then to the right of the pilot's seat, on the side of the console are some switches, turn on the engine's pumps, turn on the generator pumps, turn on the autogenerator (if you want it on), and hold the engine starter button until all engines show a steady RPS and... You are ready to go!. All buttons and switches in the ship are labelled and are self explanatory.

Acces to the Rescue Zone dock is not evident. Go to deck 1, Walk to the outside through one of the lateral doors. Walk to the stern a few steps and you will see a button on the wall. This lowers the platform to the rescue dock. Once down, on both sides, near the door, you will find a switch (there is one on each side). This opens/closes the rescue dock.
