- Completely redrawn by hand then upscaled to match modern modded texture quality.

- Graphic Settings+ for better quality and less VRAM usage.

- Gloomylynx for creating the original mod.
Gloomy Hair mk2 original workshop page

This is technically my first mod ever for Rimworld, If there's any bugs please leave a comment.
Be aware that due to the higher quality it will use slightly more VRAM than the original mod.

Enjoy!

Redistribution, modifications or additions of this mod are prohibited without my permission.
You may not redistribute this mod outside the Steam workshop.
Translations are permitted.

Thank you for understanding

If you like my style of work and have any sort of mod that you would like me to redraw into HD, feel free to contact me via comments or on my KO-FI Profile.

My current rates are:
  • 1 Texture = 2€
EX: A single complete set of hair \ apparel \ other has 3 textures (South,East,North)
Meaning a complete set of Hair \ apparel \ other = 6€

Heavy mods or bulk orders are negotiable

Requires the original "Gloomy Hair Mk2" mod to function

Update 5/14/2022:

- Added "Gloomy Hair Mk2" as a dependency
- Mod now uses Patches instead of Defs
- Heavily optimized .PNG & .DDS Files without the loss of quality.
- Gave 3 of the hair's with built in accessories some color so they wouldn't be the same color as the hair.

UPDATE 5/13/2022

- Gave 3 of the hair's with built in accessories some color so they wouldn't be the same color as the hair

PS: Since the accessories don't have any masking, they will change color as you change the hair color. Hopefully I can learn how to do it properly in the future

I don't want to be that guy, but any donations would help a ton and go a long way so I can make more of these mods.

If you do decide to donate, then thank you so much, seriously you're the best!

*As in, I'm returning the exact level of respect you gave me, which is outright disrespect. I would have given you the benefit of the doubt and stayed quiet, figuring you're just clueless since your only 'mod' on the workshop is putting a gif into wallpaper engine. But, here we are. Treat people how you'd like to be treated and all that.

@XxHyde

*Respectfully, I'm very curious to know why you'd be upset that I informed people the mod still works. Personally, I've always thought that anyone with the skills to do modding would already know when a mod actually needs updating or not, and when I see people "updating" mods that even I, an end user with no programming skills, know aren't broken it makes me a little suspicious. Usually, I think that someone must be looking to get the recognition that comes with making a popular mod and the satisfaction of people being thankful for it, without any of the pesky effort that comes with actually making it. That would certainly line up with you being upset I helped people realize they don't need an update to start with.

@XxHyde840xX

No, you may not.
As Pudding already said, the mod is a texture mod and it works perfectly fine in 1.4 as long as you put it in the correct order and install HM+.

Respectfully Pudding, I didn't ask you. :)

This is just a hair mod, it works just fine for 1.4, the only "update" it needs is a 3 being switched out for a 4 in its version check. I've used this in every single one of my 1.4 runs without any issues. The only potential problem is this won't interact properly with hair length genes, but that has negligible actual impact on gameplay.

hey @vinzero! Hope you're doing well! :) Just came across your mod the other day and was wondering if you had plans to update to 1.4 in the near future. If not, with your permission, myself or someone else would be willing to update. Hope to hear back from you soon, really cool mod, and would love for more people to be able to use it, especially with the recent forked version of gloomy hair.

@Cloud It looks like he's using [NL] Compatible Bodies 2 for the body and [NL] Facial Animation - WIP for the face. I'd grab the [NL] Facial Animation - Experimentals as it adds more animations, and then [NL] Custom Coordinate Offsets since the longer legs will occasionally clip through other objects

Hey @Vinzero! I was wondering what mods you use to make your characters look so good? I notice they have legs, much better looking bodies than standard rimworld bodies, some even have freckles. Anime faces, expression, everything! The whole package. I'd love to make my characters look like yours.
