The Thing is a game that mixes different mechanisms to create an experience that is as faithful as possible to that of the original film. It is a "hidden role" game, in which one player is initially the Thing and the others players are humans. The purpose of the Thing is to infect others, to prevent the survivors from escaping from the base (which can happen three different ways), or to try to escape with them by behaving as a human.

In addition to these elements, players also have to manage Outpost 31. On the map are the same rooms as seen in the film, and each of these rooms allows players to perform a different action. Human players have to feed themselves and keep the boiler and the generator on to avoid being in the cold and dark. The Thing will try to sabotage these places to make life difficult for humans...or not, trying to camouflage itself among the humans and infect them when the perfect opportunity presents itself.

The goal of the game designers was to bring the same personal emotions and paranoia that the protagonists of the film experienced to the gaming table.

1. It is already possible to do this if you have Tabletop Simulator.
2. I wouldn't do it anyway, we already have to thank the real authors of the game if they don't request its removal from the workshop.
3. The best thing to do in these cases is to buy it. You support the authors and have a wonderful original game at home.

Author, is it possible not to send a link to download the scanned materials of this game? I would like to print it in real life

Yes, because yours is yet another comment I receive (but not just me, but also other "colleagues" modders), about the lack of languages regarding mods that:
1. are not language dependent.
2. are only in ITA because I have the physical game only in ITA and in those cases the mod is published as "Italian" and yet some people vote or leave negative comments because it's not in English? WTF?

Splitting the mod or not is the modder's choice. If I decided to put everything together, there is a reason and is it because there is nothing "duplicate" with the exception of the character sheets which are around 10? or so? This certainly doesn't weigh down the mod. I really don't understand what you're getting at. I don't want to be aggressive with you, but your initial comment, if read by a visitor, puts him in the position of avoiding trying the mod because he read that it is only in ita and this is totally wrong. You write: "not really playable".

@Dr. HaZaRd I don't have a psychical copy of this game.
Why not just split the Italian and English version? Rather than smash them together in one package and double the amount of things in it.

I shouldn't have to sit down for X amount of time, to sort out English from pasta people speak, could have just made two separate versions, but instead you decide to lash out at such a minor comment.

Guess I hit a nerve with that comment, somehow.

When you say "Most if not all" what exactly do you mean since the only text in this game are those few words on the character sheets? If you noticed, the character sheets are also present in English which is the universal language spoken in the world. I have the physical game in Italian, provide me with the character sheets in all languages and I will gladly insert them into the mod.
All texts written by me on the table are bi-lingual ITA-ENG. The faqs, errata-corrige are ITA-ENG. Can you explain to me which text are you referring to? To location cards (since those are the only other things that contain a single word each)? There is a drawing of the place above the card if you don't understand. So, the game has no more text to read. The rulebooks are present in all available languages, I don't understand these comments about language on a game that isn't dependent on it.
In my opinion, you didn't even try to understand how to play and rushed here to write this useless comment.

Most if not all the game is in Italian, not really playable
Dr. HaZaRd  [author] 3 Jun, 2024 @ 1:17pm
I don't understand why, but the script that manages the cards no longer works well, I have to check. However, the mod is still playable, just do the locations phase manually.

@magicman1625, it's true, I hadn't taken into account the issue of suspicious discs if you play solo, you can still paint them manually and move them by hand without using the + and - buttons.

Will this not work for a 4 or 5 players.. I see you say 1 to 3 but is that for a different game mode?
magicman1625 9 Apr, 2024 @ 1:52pm
Trying to play solo but I can't seem to figure out how to get all he suspicion markers. You control 6 characters but selecting more then 1 stacks them and you can't see all the others anymore and the suspicion markers are all one color making them pointless. is their a way to play as all 6 with different colors? if not then solo is unplayable

Dr. HaZaRd thanks for your answer !) It's just that I have friends who don't like to "strain" themselves to play in English. And so, thank you so much for such a great job))):6face:
