The Legions ground forces suffered greatly during the opening weeks of the Atrimax War. While the Legions tank forces are deadly, they are difficult to deploy on mass due to their complex design and size making transportation of large groups of armor hard to do quickly. The Tempest was created as a solution to this problem. It was easier to produce and light enough to transport while still having great protection and deadly firepower
