Pokemon: Legends of Sinnoh - The Shuckle Apocalypse Campaign

Description
A Campaign Expansion to Pokemon: Legends of Sinnoh by Levatius

Hey guys what about me? What about ol' Shuckle? Aw man I bet i'm gonna evolve any second now!

Any second...

Yup.

Features:
125+ Unique Shuckles.
A Fully Fledged 7 Act Campaign.
New Starter Cards and Gym Leader Blessings
Ride Pokemon
The One True Saviour, Pokemon Trainer Rusty and Perfect Bidoof.
Shuckle.

Synopsis:
Sometime after the Distortion World crisis, part of Team Galactic had
managed to rebuild their ranks and had started experimenting on
multiple projects to idealize their plans. One of these experiments had
succeeded, but it had come with unexpected consequences.

The experiment had succeeded in weakening the power of Arceus and
the Temporal Gods, just like how Team Galactic wanted. However,
another Pokémon had also happened to be there at the time due to
unforeseen events. And that Pokémon had begun fusing with Arceus
against it’s will. And that Pokémon's name was…
Shuckle.

Suddenly, Shuckle had gained an extraordinary amount of power, and had envisioned a “Planet of Shuckles.” Shuckle immediately acted, having taken over Team Galactic and had given a share of his power to the Shuckles across Sinnoh. And in the process, Shuckle immediately sent his forces to subdue all the villages, across the region.

However, there was still some hope left, before being assimilated into
Shuckle, Arceus had embodied some of its remaining power into the plates it was holding and scattered them across Sinnoh. And Arceus had also given it’s blessing to the remaining trainers across the region. Who must now work together to defeat Shuckle and his relentless army. Before our world is lost to Shuckle.

Huge thanks to Assa for making the code for the setup placement card for this expansion. Thanks!

Currently updated for Version 1.3.C of Pokemon: Legends of Sinnoh. This expansion was made to be as vanilla friendly as possible, so other mods and expansions should flesh well with this campaign.

Please leave any suggestions for me in regards to Campaign Balance and Bugs.

Thanks, and I hope you enjoy this experience.

WARNING: this campaign takes 7+ HOURS. Be ready to be here for a long, long time should you play this. If you do play it though, it is quite enjoyable - the Shuckle moves are engineered to sound broken on paper (and admittedly a couple of them are, like Shuckle Clean Up Time allowing theoretically infinite extra turns provided you keep rolling enough status icons) but they are all decently challenging without being outright stupid. Plus, should you be hit with something like Shuckle Conversion or Shucklefestation, the Shuckle you get (Destroyer of Worlds) isn't even all that bad as it effectively gets a Shucklefied Metronome (though I don't know if the All For One deck that this Shuckle comes from is a separate expansion, so if it is I recommend getting it as well) that allows you to get a random powerful Shuckle Evolution move with each use, then teach it to the Shuckle regardless of type should you want to keep it. All in all, it's absurdly lengthy, but a fun time.

I have to admit, I first thought this campaign was a elaborate shitpost meme campaign, but it is actually very well done, challenging and a lot of fun to play through.

Weird fix for the rulebook trouble in Assa's QoL mod, but I found if you select "show rules" and sufficiently increase the shuckle rulebook's size while it's physically on that menu it comes up as an option to import onto the menu as (I assume) is intended.

It doesn't seem like Assa's expansion in interacting properly with the rulebook, do you have a solution to this?

Hey, me and my 2 friends just completed a full game of this! Overall, we had a great time! Just one thing:

Act 6 is a slog. Like a huge slog. 6 different 6 person encounters takes forever, and if you lose (which can happen, very easily) it just adds another on top of it. I think a solid 30-40% of that playthrough was dedicated to just act 6. If I could make a recommendation, trim it down from the Elite 6 to the Elite 3, and have the teams go:
4 act 3 pokemon/2 act 6 pokemon
2 act 3 pokemon/4 act 6 pokemon
6 act 6 pokemon.

The difficulty was fine in the final act, if a little spiky, but the real problem was how long it took just to do the battles.

I also suggest getting rid of specifically the one Shuckle who replaces a pokemon with a shuckle forever. That just felt anti-fun.

The rest of the campaign was super fun though! We really enjoyed the final fight! Keep up the good work!
