The CRN Beowulf Class Light Cruiser is a new class of next gen ships that the CRN has been working on for some time now, these next gen ships are considerably more capable than their earlier counterparts, featuring more modern designs, and weaponry, the Beowulf is a superb example of the next gen CRN ships featuring a underslung railgun, and an aft hangar for small scout craft, and snub fighters. The Beowulf also features a minimalist deck layout, making system access easy and simple.

Built in the 2900's the Beowulf is the most modern warship that the CRN has produced, following the aging fleets of Mjolnir, and Achilles classes, the Beowulf will replace all of these classes. Built to modernize the CRN's fleets, the Beowulf provides a fresh new start for republic designers. Meant to engage with more modern ESA forces the Beowulf is considerably more fierce than its counterparts. After the two consecutive intergalactic wars between coalition forces (SDI, L-W, and CRN) against the ESA, the CRN soon realized that its older cruiser fleets were going to have to be modernized into a better equipped design, that was not only faster, but more capable. Ergo the introduction of the Beowulf, new advances in weapon design have enabled the Beowulf to dish out significantly more firepower. Such as its new under slung rail gun, and weapon turrets. The Beowulf also Fields considerably more speed than its counterparts, thanks to improved ship design. All of these combined make the Beowulf a more ferocious cruiser class, and make it a refreshingly modern design.

The Beowulf is a new design, the idea initially came to me a couple months ago, where I had decided that once the warfare update came out I was going to make an Idris Replica. So here we are, I also needed a new cruiser model because I wasn't exactly happy with the older ones, The Achilles was nice, but a little lackluster in terms of performance. This one is definitely my favorite so far, I also have other "Next Gen" ships that I will have to upload, such as a new battleship, I don't want to say too much but it is definitely very badass.
