Description
Submod to Tabletop Caps that addes special rules to all standard Lords and some Factions.

See above collection for supported modded LLs and recomended mods.

Some special rules are applied to lords and/or factions, but they never stack. For example, Boris LL in Boris Faction doesn't get double discount on War Bear Riders. All lords in his Faction gets the discount, or if you recruit Boris by another faction, then only Boris gets the discount.

Since the question has come up several time. When there is a lesser and a greater thematic unit to choose from, I rather make the lesser unit core, than to make the greater unit cheaper. Basically, I want you to use both units, if the greater unit cost the same as the lesser unit, you would never build the lesser unit. I think that even without reduction, chances are you will build some the greater unit anyway, than add in some lesser units as core.'

Some units that are reduced can not be recruited after confederation, you can use mods to get around that such as;

Would you be opposed to putting up pictures of all lords and special rules or making a list that is pinned having the unique rules of lords?

Can you make a tutorial on how to do this ourselves? There are many mods that this one doesn't cover, maybe others could try and expand it with submods. I could give it a shot too.

My Suggestion:
The rules of Miao Ying, Zhao Ming, Balthesar Gelt and similar, of course, feel quite overpowered, so I wouldn't suggest similar rules, but to keep a little bit of balance, I think making him decrease the cost of Jade and Jet Lions to just one special, plus decrease the cost of Onyx crowmen from one special to core, is the right amount.

This rule feels much more useful, while also not overpowered, as a bonus it also very thematic and lore friendly, as the onyx crowmen are his own spies network.

Nevertheless, thanks for your continued work and awesome support.

Hi @Naeven, thanks for your hard work.

A small feedback from my side: The unique rule you chose for Yuan Bo, feels quite underwhelming when compared to others in my opinion. Him making the Jade and Jet Lions use up two instead of three special points (With three being already quite unjustified IMHO) doesn't feel very helpful. These units should have been two special points from the beginning.

But putting their initial pricing by the base mod aside. When you compare this rule to e.g. Miao Ying's rule, which is very powerful, given that the Celestial Dragon Crossbowmen are some of the best units in the entire game and she reduces them from 1 rare to 1 special, which is a huge amount. Also e.g. Balthesar Gelt's rule, which decreases the cost of Luminarks from 3 rare to just 1, and they have just a ridicules sniping damage output. One kinda feels that Yuan Bo's rule is quite useless.

Hello, how would I go about adding in special rules to a modded unit? trying to reverse engineer stuff is failing me

This is mainly an issue with base TT Caps but Wulfhart turning War Wagons into Special Units instead of Rare is, if anything, much worse because the Empire roster is extremely Special point hungry for its best units. The specialized knights, Mortars and Great Cannons, the new Ironsides and Long Rifles, and Huntsmen for Markus in particular are way better uses of Special points than War Wagons.

It might be better for him to have Huntsmen be Core units instead, IMO. They're strong with his double shot personal skill, but not to the point where you can just spam them and win every battle at least.
