Erebus-class Prowler [5 Slot] [Early Config]

Instantly recognizable by the huge dorsal-mounted radome, ventral-mounted ECM nodule, and mottled paint scheme hiding its sleek lines, the Alliance Expeditionary Fleet's Erebus-class Prowler may at first seem to be a very small and weak ship, but looks can be deceiving.

Although their purpose is reconnaissance, AEF Prowlers are often equipped with rocket batteries for defense or support, and sport powerful engines and jump drives that give them a high degree of mobility. If that's not enough, they also come equipped with point defense lasers mounted ahead of their winglets, in case you think you can get lucky with a torpedo.

Wherever an AEF Prowler operates, you can be assured that an AEF carrier taskforce is not far behind. Hinder them at your peril.

Designed solely as a recon ship, the Prowler nevertheless sports surprising stats for its size, including five subsystem slots. It also has a decently sized cargo bay, making it suitable for smuggling tasks as well. The included top- and bottom-mounted size 2 turret designs are intended for use with guided launchers, while the size 0.5 turret designs are meant for point defense lasers.

This is the ship's early configuration, built almost entirely out of Trinium. There are two framework blocks inside that can be turned into Transporter blocks when Xanion becomes available; it's highly recommended to convert the Engine blocks to Xanion or Ogonite, or else recolor the glow blocks to match the engines' exhaust.
