BC SVS 1 (Semi Vertical System model 1) This is something i was playing around with. it flies fine without the vertical props. you can take off and land without them. with them on ( 5 and T) you can take off with a much shorter distance and land within a shorter distance. designed for landing on an aircraft carrier or small runway. just make sure you give yourself plenty of time for lining up and descending. to land already have your vertical thrust set to max which is channel A ( 5) get lined up atleast 100 meters out cut off your forward thrust completely and keep a downward angle between 65 to 80 degrees i know i said its suppose to be easier to land but trust me it is. once your coming and getting close max out channel B ( 6) this will slow you down drastically and give you upward lift and allow you to drop on your target. dont do it too soon or youll stall and fall back and lose control. do it too late and you might lose a wheel and you'll be going down the runway faster than you want defeating the purpose of near a vtol landing. you cant take off with just vertical thrust its not strong enough to lift the craft just helps with speed and allows you to float to the ground when going into landing mode. you can take off with it on if you like for a quicker and shorter takeoff. like i said near vtol. great for those small launch areas. also has great yaw and roll control using the vertical props. it should be a good dog fighter, might not be able to keep up but can dam near spin and shoot on the spot. kinda switching between the benefits of a helicopter and a plane.
