Ah... Yeah, that explains it actually, haha.
For some context, Talking Flower has a weird cheapie list thing to it, and the person who made it basically put all my characters on said list. It's a kinda unnecessary feature, and mostly just gets players very confused.
As for why the creator of the buddy did this, they just seem very strange and drama-focused from what I've seen.
So, to solve the problem you'd have to either ask for it to be changed, or avoid using that buddy altogether unfortunately. Which is obviously a shame, as the Talking Flower should probably not confuse players by doing this stuff.
With all that said, I apologize for the inconvenience! People should be allowed to play whatever characters they want, but at least the good news is that Dan himself should be completely usable, haha.
If you're wondering about anything else just let me know!
there would be some moves that would deplete either dan's or the opponent's stocks to 1 on hit, but the problem seemed to be caused by dan in relation to something else? i'm still playing now so i'll let you know if it comes up under different conditions, but yea it seems to just be the buddy at least which is nice in the interim! dan's one of my favorite characters so the thought of having to bench him made me sad lol
Hi! That does sound super weird, I haven't seen anything like that myself and Dan is definitely not supposed to do that, lol.
Doesn't sound like a bug that typically happens either, although bugged installations aren't unheard of on workshop! Sometimes stuff just acts weird and reinstalling the character does the trick.
Still, just to make sure: Were there any other characters in the match or anything like that? Any specific stage? Were you using any particular buddies? Or does it happen regardless of all that? It does sound like something else could be messing with it, but that's still kind of a rough guess, haha.
