Description
Increase your ascension slots to 200, and research technology to grant new perks.

For Stellaris: 3.11.*

About
This mod increases your ascension slots to 200, and also adds a repeatable technology in the society category that can be customised on game start between a more easy version if you want to stack up on ascension perks fairly easily, a normal/default, a hard, and one based on the costs of UI Overhaul Dynamic - Ascension Perks if you prefer a much scarcer availability of additional perks.

You can also opt to not add any of these technologies into the game if you plan on using traditions or another mod to add additional ascension slots.

Difficulty values for perks

Easy
Low cost with a low increase per research. Does not require Ascension Theory to be researched first.

Normal
Moderate cost with a moderate increase per research. Requires Ascension Theory to be researched first.

Hard
High cost with a high increase per research. Requires Ascension Theory to be researched first.

UI Dynamic Overhaul
Base value of 150000, increasing by an additional 50000 every time you research it, so 150000 - 200000 - 250000, etc. Requires Ascension Theory to be researched first. Is the same value that UI Dynamic Overhaul's mod uses for this.

Requirements/Recommendations
Highly recommended you use UI Overhaul Dynamic as it by default allows you to have more ascension slots in the UI. If you prefer another UI mod it may or may not be compatible with the additional ascension slots.

If there are any issues please let me know. This mod was originally a part of another mod of mine but I decided to remove it from that mod and stick it into its own thing in case people wanted a separate way to get ascension perks both using that other mod, and also for people who just want a standalone way to get new perks.

Just checked and, including all the mods I can use, can't because they're an update or two behind so I need to wait, and can't because they're deprecated, I've got 141 total. If everyone encountering this issue is only doing so after getting to similar numbers, that'd be a good sign of whether or not it's related.

Thankfully it wasn't persistent, I just had to wait with the launcher open for long enough, and eventually it stopped complaining. Still, it really is weird. I wonder if it's related to how many mods you've downloaded? I've got a ton of them myself, and I never got round to fully removing all the deprecated ones, so I've probably built up quite the number of them. Maybe after a certain point it starts to have difficulty verifying the descriptor files? Food for thought, if nothing else.

Yeah that's a thing that happens sometimes with mods on Stellaris. If it's persistent than you usually just need to unsubscribe and then launch the launcher, let it load and realise it's gone, then close the launcher, resubscribe and it should be fixed.

Never mind, it seems to have gone away on its own? For some reason? Really weird

So I seem to be having a problem with both this and your Ascension Perks Broadened mods where the launcher keeps insisting they are missing a descriptor file and so it refuses to enable them. Is there any way to fix this?

You need to progress a bit to for it to show up. Try using the console command to force an unlock if it's not working to see if it's properly installed. If in doubt unsubscribe and resubscribe and see if that helps.

Since 3.10, I never get the tech to research more perks. I get the opening screen that asks if you want it easy, normal, or hard but that is all.

You can use it mid game but you won't be able to select which one and it will default to a medium difficulty. Also the "event repeat.1" is something you can type into the console to choose your difficulty but it may jank out.

Noob here. What's the consensus, can I use it mid game? and (solis) what do you mean by "able to type in 'event repeat.1'"?
Lucasif  [author] 2 Jan @ 11:22am
Oh yeah I also set it to by default use the normal difficulty techs so even without doing that from what I remember it *should* work.
