Description
Main Features
The primary function of this mod is to add working coolers. I recognize there are some solutions for this on the workshop, but none that worked quite the way I wanted. With this mod, adding items to the cooler will change its overall temperature, transferring energy to the items inside. So, adding lots of cold items will keep items colder. It works in the other direction as well, keeping warm food items warm for longer. Frozen items in an insulated container will also stay frozen for longer, and have a higher impact on the coolers overall temperature. There are also 2 freezable ice packs (large and small) for even more cooling time.

  • Adds a working cooler mechanic, keeping items cold or hot.
  • Keeps frozen items frozen for longer.
  • Adds 2 cooler skins (a red cooler and a human organ transport cooler)
  • Adds an insulated backpack in 6 colors
  • Adds ice packs in 2 sizes. Large Ice Packs stay frozen for longer.
  • Lunchboxes will also keep items cool (or hot) over time, albeit at a much lower rate than proper coolers.

Still Testing!
This mod uses a couple of events that fire very often, so as to keep the contents of coolers from "pulsing" as they are cooled. This has the potential to fire off a lot of errors at once. I've done my best to avoid any issues like this and have been testing it a lot myself, but as always - if you encounter an error, let me know and I'll do my best to address it.

I did some basic testing. it says this mod on it so I'm assuming the coolers aren't being overridden by another mod. I grabbed a insulated backpack and some frozen vegetals. One bag into my pocket, one and the ice pack into the backpack, both thawed out at the same speed.

Weird. Maybe a mod conflict then. When you’re looking at the cooler, does it show any other mods affecting it other then this one?

I disagree with literally down there, I put an ice pack and some icecream in a cooler and it warmed up just as quick as if it was just in my backpack

no idea why everyone is saying its broken or dead, it works perfectly fine for me, the bags and coolers keep stuff hot or cold making long trips not so scary when it comes to food and such. truly a wonderful mod.
