Hey! My name is Semih Alar. I make music and sound design for films and videogames. Thanks for checking out my latest submission to the Dota 2 Workshop: The Dead Don't Die Music Pack!

The Dead Don't Die music pack includes many styles such as techno, orchestral, tribal and a mix of all. There are lots of unique instruments such as didgeridoo, bukhu, erhu and monstrous vocals! I've decided to create my own music pack after spend nearly 6.000 HOURS in the game! I really enjoy composing music! Not just for myself but for the greater good! The Dota 2 community! I want to push 'the boundaries' of the standard Dota 2 music pack template so I've decided to make the all tracks unique but in a dark concept. Every single theme in this music pack tells a story. It's a bit too much to put down in words for every theme so I let you to decide!

The themes are arranged in a chronological matter as much as logically possible. Listening to the music pack video in one go more or less represents the full auditory experience during a game of Dota 2, from starting your client to exit. The in-game versions will be layered so that means most tracks won't contain vocals or additional percussion until later phases of the game. Not only does this build up intensity, it also further prevents the feeling of repetition.

Anyways I've got lots and lots more to say about this pack but I guess it is better to listen for yourselves. Also, try listening to it in the background while you're playing a game, it really changes the perception of the themes.
