Bravo! The stellar deceptor, Magolor from Kirby's Return to Dream Land, joins the fray with a plethora of tricks up his sleeve! Make the stage yours with portals, explosive gem apples, and magic attacks of all sorts to your disposal!

Magolor takes with him plenty of attacks that take from both his boss fights and playable appearances throughout the Kirby series!




Magolor's USpecial is the superglue of his moveset, which generates two dimensional portals that he can use to not only transport himself and others, but various projectiles throughout his kit, too. Be careful though, because Magolor isn't the only one who can use these portals to his advantage…



At the start of the move, an arrow will appear above Magolor to indicate which direction the first portal will appear and point from. Use the joystick to pick one of 8 directions to make it point from. After a split second, Magolor will begin to create the portal, and while a second portal is being made parallel to it, you may use the joystick to adjust the direction that one is pointing as well. Once both portals are made, Magolor will automatically fly through the first and out the second unless the shield button is held down. If two portals are already active during this move, they'll go into a cooldown state before disappearing as the new portals are created. The move will go into a cooldown period after use until he either lands, wall jumps, or gets hurt.

When and if the portals are in a cooldown state (which is indicated by them turning a darker color), they will be unusable by any means. This cooldown will typically last for 50 frames and triggers whenever it's used, however, the cooldown will last longer if another player who isn’t in hitstun passes through the portal.




Magolor will charge up magic energy and release it before himself. The outcome will depend on the number of charges he has.

Little to no charge will release a magic sphere, which you can move up and down with the stick, one charge will release a Revolution Orb featuring three spheres, and two charges will release a Revolution Flame.




Magolor charges forth while spinning like a corkscrew, carrying anyone with him for multihitting damage! He may only use this move once in the air unless he's walljumped or been hit, and if the move doesn't hit, he'll go into freefall at the end of the attack.



Upon entering a portal, the direction he's charging will actually change depending on the other portal's direction. For example, if he charges through while the other is facing upward, he'll come out the other portal charging up.




Magolor throws out a gem apple, which can be aimed higher by holding up, or a shorter distance away by holding the opposite direction you're facing. The apple can be kicked around by almost any hitbox, and as it's left out longer, it'll charge more and more. If it goes through a portal, it'll gain a little extra charge.

Depending on how many times the apple has charged, its explosion size will vary if Magolor uses DSpecial again, and its most powerful explosion will occur if it's left out to explode on its own, or if it's 3 seconds into its last stage. The power of microtransactions is quite destructive, wouldn't you say so?

Furthermore, partway through Magolor's laughing fit can he cancel out of it by holding down, allowing for him to further act on anyone hit by the explosion. Magolor can also cancel into the detonation process at the end of FSpecial, so he can either blow up anyone he launches into the apple with the move or completely bypass the pratfall (though he still can't use the move in the air again).


- While there are always many ways to play a character, a key goal in playing Magolor is to use his portals to extend and enhance the power of some of his zoning tools!
- With the portals being able to face in 8 different directions each, you can use this to your advantage and use them to set up traps, snipe from different directions, and even bring the opponent right to you in some cases!
- Despite his longer range with most attacks, Magolor's more up close and personal attacks can string together quite nicely, too. Try using moves like DTilt and DAir to initiate combos!
- Gem Apples will hit anyone in the way if they're in the air, so you can use that to potentially chain it with an explosion if you detonate after it hits.
- Magolor's Forward and Down Strongs have a significant amount of startup, but at the same time are some of his deadliest attacks. When the time is right, bring on the super ability and finish your foes with the power of the mighty Ultra Sword and Grand Hammer!
- Hold taunt during FStrong for a surprise.
