The Demon from Another World joins the fray in Rivals!

Alpaca is a stance character. Using their Down Special, Mode Switch, they can switch between their two stances: Devil Mode and Angel Mode. Devil Mode is focused on quick, close-quarters combat, with quick moves that are great for racking up damage, while Angel Mode is focused on outplaying zoners, with disjoints and projectiles to throw them off or force them to play more up close.

SPECIAL MOVES



Neutral Special (Devil Mode): Quadratic Strike
Alpaca moves forward slightly with a quick backhand slap. If that hits, it goes into a 4-hit barrage with good potential for followups at low damage and decent KO power at high damage.

Forward Special (Devil Mode): One-Two Grapple
A dashing command grab that covers good horizontal distance and acts as a great KO utility.

Up Special (Devil Mode): Tornado Jump
Starts with a leap and goes into a lethal multihit tornado. Not amazing for vertical recovery but gets the job done.

Down Special: Mode Switch
Exactly what it says on the tin.

Neutral Special (Angel Mode): Protective Vortex
Alpaca puts out a lingering hitbox with maximum priority, beating out most projectiles from the front.

Forward Special (Angel Mode): Luring Star
Alpaca throws a smallish, mid-range projectile that knocks whoever's hit by it towards them for followups.

Up Special (Angel Mode): Swift Dash
An extremely simple intangible dash that's a little lacklustre as a recovery move, but great for closing distance on the ground. If you hold down during startup, the attack does not move at all, but has a stronger hitbox.
