Description
DMI is presenting its first true Small grid Ship for Battle.

Always ready and easy to carry the tanto was the base defence and offence weapon for every samurai.
Just like this the Tanto Interceptor is thanks to its small size and easy constuction the Base Fighter of DMI.
Equipped with 4 Guided missiles and able to fly anywhere its universaly usable and hits above its weight class.

Design Feature

  • Guided Missile Launcher: 4 Guided Missiles with 2 Warheads each.
    1. Scrips must be enabled in world settings to use Guided Missiles
    2. !in survival make sure that all Gatling guns with "Missile" in the name have Gatling ammon in them. or the missile will not detach. when conneted to a ammo Container hit button 5 on hotbar 4 and then again after 2 seconds !
    3. !When rebuilding the missiles Make sure to hit button 5 on hotbar 4 after building to avoid shooting the missiles with you Gatlings bevor you want to Launch them!
  • Compact Hangar Storage Space: Fits in Hangars only 4x2x1 Larg blocks in size
  • Porjectile weapons: 2 Artillery Cannons and 6 Gatling guns make sure you can engae targets at long and short range.
  • High agility: low weight and high amount of thrusters make sure the Tanto is as agil and quick to use as a knife
  • Orientation steering: using the "Q" and "E" Buttons to rotate and pulling up makes sure all 15 small thrusters are pushing the Yari the way you want to go. while keeping the craft light and agile.
  • Fly anywhere: Complete Hydrogen thrusters give the Tanto the ability to be deployed anywhere.
  • Landing gear: 1 Landing gear make sure you can land on Planets and moons.

    Hotbar 1
    1. Aim Guided Missiles
      1. Scrips must be enabled in world settings to use Guided Missiles

    3. Forward Thrusters (Turns off forward facing thrusters. The ship wont stop when leting go of "W")
    4. Camera Front Mid (Change view to forward facing camera Left)
    5. Camera Front Left (Change view to forward facing camera Left)
    6. Rocket Launcher (Switches Weapons to 2 Rocket launchers)
    7. Gatling guns (Switches Weapons to 6 Gatling guns )
    8. Attilery Cannons (Switches Weapons to 2 Attilery Cannons)
    9. Parachutes (Opens or Closes 8 Parachutes)
    Hotbar 2
    1. Camera Back (Change view to Back facing camera)
    2. Spotlight back (Turns the back facing spotlight on/off)
    3. Connector back (Switches the look on the back facing connector.)
    4. Gears back (Switches the look on the back landing gear.)
    5. Gears down (Switches the look on the down landing gear.)
    6. Spotlight front (Turns the front facing spotlight on/off)
    7. Hinges Wings (extends or retracts the wings !make sure to retract to minimize Size in Hangar)
    Hotbar 3
    1. Thrusters Forward (Increases manual thrust override. Keep accelerating without pressing "W")
    2. Thrusters Forward (Decreases manual thrust override.)
    3. Hydrogen auxillary Thrusters (Turns all backward facing auxillary hydrogen thrusters on/off. Saves Fuel)
    4. Thrusters all on (Turns on all thrusters)
    5. Thrusters all off (Turns off all thrusters)

    6. O2/H2 Generators ON/OFF (Turns on or off the 9 O2/H2 Generators)
    7. Hydrogen Tanks Stockpile ON/OFF (Turns the Hydrogen Tanks to stockpile Hydrogen)
    8. Batteries Recharge ON/OFF (Turns the Batteries to recharge)
    Hotbar 4
    1. Reactors ON/OFF (Turns all Reactors on or off)
    2. Projector ON/OFF (Turns the Projector on or off. use for quick repair)


    3. Gatling guns Missiles Launch (Turns the Gatlingguns off that are used to launch the missiles.!Make sure to hit the button after rebuilding used missiles!

Selct the programmable block name launch missile. Type precise_switch into the argument line and hit run. The script will now aim the missile at the part of the target near the center of your aim. For mor information checkout whiplashs Guide on the wham and lamp script

How do i switch the missile settings like which block it targets?

Regarding the firing mechanism. The main reason is for the hydrogen tanks to be filled it needs a connvyor connection. A 3x3x2 connector was to bulky and the merger 1x1x1 has no conveyor. A small advance rotor 1x1x1 would have been an alternativ until you want to reload your missiles. On would need to add hinge head, add a conveyor interchange, add a projector and load the Missile blueprint, for every individual missile. The new small advance rotor would have had the same problem. There is also a merger double hinge connection but that would add a extra sub grid just like the hinge and rotor.

The disadvantage of the tantos missile sytem is that the gatling needs ammo and need to be operational to fire. It also adds a gatling gun for every missile but that could also be a advantage by increasing forepower with every fired missile. Its also not compatipl with weapons core and the gatling guns firing at the conveyor, need to be turned of after reloading the missile. But one main advantage is that you can reload the missiles by turning on the projector and fly near a welder. Reaming all 4 missiles can be rebuild in 30 sec. Sorry for the long answer. Very clever design. Love all the camera placements and functional thought behind everything. Very well done. The missile design is very strange - shooting it to release. Why not a merge block? I think I'll remove the missiles and just make it a fighter. Thanks!

Hello Lando, thanks for your question. Follow these steps.
1. Hit button 2. on hotbar 4 to turn on the projector.
2. weld up the missing blocks.
3. hit button 5 on hotbar 4 to set up the Gatling guns again.
