That's right, the "Thread and Twine" mod simply adds recipes for the production of thread <-> twine <-> rope. In fact, I didn't see these recipes in the vanilla version of the game.
In addition, with twine in my mod, you can make almost any pole weapon, and let's be honest, there are not so many twines in Vanilla game) That's actually what "Thread and Twine" is for.
If u dont need a part of thread and twine u easily can use this mod (but my recipes are slightly different) https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1895522524
I'm just trying to understand why it would be required since all it does is add recipes to make thread, twine and rope from ripped sheets. Maybe that's needed to make these spears, but... aren't those vanilla items?
Integrated "Thread and Twine" with minor mod changes for making thread, twine

Added: Spear with sharped stone
Fixed: Weapons no longer increase durability when equipping/unequipping hammers and katana on a spear
Changed: almost all recipes have been changed, closer to more realism
