Description

The ASTR Modular Cargo System was developed by ASTR Logistics, a subdivision of the ASTR corporation, which originates from the aerospace sector. The Modular Cargo System, for short MCS, enables freight companies that operate on rail, to use only one freight wagon type (base) for all their freight-related use cases. Instead of having countless different types of rolling stock from different ages MCS provides a simple, flexible and modular solution. Supporting not only ISO and AISO the wagons functionality can be changed simply by (re)configuring it with a wide variety of modules.

  • Lightweight and modern design
  • SRC-TCP Compatibility
  • Additional manual controls
  • 12 units / 45 blocks of available space for modules and containers

Collection with all Modules: MCS Collection

Trust me bro im not making this up

I feel like the pivot can be removed as electrical connectors can move on their own axis
Serpentine  [author] 1 Oct, 2023 @ 5:12am
a pivot is required, think about how a train moves for example through switches
tomatosoup 24 Sep, 2023 @ 1:14pm
in more specifics, the pivot fails, it would probably be just fine to lock the connector into place w/o a pivot
tomatosoup 24 Sep, 2023 @ 1:10pm
its the way the connector is connected to the car, not the connector itself
Serpentine  [author] 24 Sep, 2023 @ 12:04pm
i don't think there is anything i could do about that. It is just the default electrical connector and that is a universal standard to connect trains

The coupler fails super often at low phys detail with heavy loads

Oh?

I'm gonna update the railcars with the new tcp anyway when we finally release tcp 1.3. The speed sensor will then become obsolete.
RMM_Sooter 14 May, 2023 @ 6:18am
BTW the linear speed sensor is not connected to one of the brake controller units
