"Where others fail, Omni excels."

The OA22 Shearwater is designed as a easy to fly amphibious Firefighting / SAR aircraft.

Features:

-190kts, 160kt cruise
-Turbine
-Amphbious
-Constant speed prop with reverse thrust.
-300km+ Range
-GPS map - OmniMap+ with Nav, beacon finder, radio direction finder and radar
-Autopilot - Heading hold, waypoint hold, and heading hold with cruise and hover modes
-Lights - Nav, Landing, Strobe, Beacon, Interior
-Annunciator panel
-Communication radio
- Artic ready
-Single Engine capable

Operating instructions:
1. Overhead panel: Master switch and Avionics switch: On
2. Overhead panel: Engines On/Off
3. W/S for pitch, A/D for roll, Up/Down for throttle, Left/Right for yaw.
4. Park brake off

* For water take off hold nose up pitch (S) constantly while adding throttle until airborne.

---------

This aircraft features a realistic (as can be in sw) constant speed propeller.
Set "Prop RPM" lever to max (100) for takeoff / landing / maneuvers , this will give the most performance and speed at a cost of fuel consumption.
Once ready for cruise then adjust throttle (I generally just leave it at 100%) and pull back the prop rpm lever to desired speed / fuel consumption.
Generally you can reduce fuel consumption by 50% with only a 25% speed reduction.

The reverse thrust is built into the throttle. The throttle range is from -10 to 100. While on the ground the throttle can be moved through the whole range.
-10 to 10 controls the prop pitch directly with the engine at high idle where 10 is forward thrust, 0 is flat / neutral, and -10 is reverse thrust.
Throttle is governed to a set rpm while in this mode.

10-100 the throttle lever directly controls the turbine throttle and the prop pitch is governed to maintain rpm.

There is a safety mechanism to prevent flat and reverse thrust from being engaged in the air.

The annunciator panel will display "SYNC" if the rpm between the engines doesn't match. It's best to wait for rpm to match before takeoff.

-----------

Autopilot functions with heading hold (HD) and waypoint hold (WP).
Yellow indicates selected but not active.
Red indicates not active.
Green indicates active.
Grey indicates N/A.

Heading hold (HD) will hold current heading and can be adjusted with the +/- touch controls
Waypoint hold (WP) is available after entering waypoint coordinates into the keypad. It will hold bearing to waypoint and will circle in the area of the waypoint on arrival

Both Heading hold (HD) and Waypoint hold (WP) will active Altitude hold (ALT) upon activation. Altitude hold (ALT) can be activated or deactivated independently. While Altitude hold (ALT) is active, set altitude can be changed via the +/- touch controls.

When the autopilot is not active it will display current heading and altitude.
Heading hold (HD) will display set heading while active
Waypoint hold (WP) will display bearing to waypoint while active.
Altitude hold (ALT) will display set altitude while active.

------------

OmniMap+ functions as a GPS nav with waypoint input that also feeds into the autopilot. It also features Emergency beacon finder, Radio Direction Finder, and Radar.
Modes can be changed at the bottom of the screen with the left and right touch arrows between Nav, EBL,RDF.

Radar can be activated on any mode by touching the R on the right side of the screen.

EBL/RDF modes have a "clear" button for resetting the signals. It's the C on the right side of the screen.

The menu at the top center of the screen allows users to change unit types and set the RDF frequency.

@celticcross98: Make sure your physics are set to HIGH with any of my builds.

I don't test on any other setting.

Is it ok if I use the landing gear system? I'm making my own seaplane, and I thought the gear was really cool, I will credit you in the description of the plane if you let me use it.
