Custom Magic: The Gathering Red/White Set - Street Fighter

A Street Fighter-based collection of (hopefully) balanced cards intended for use in Modern and Standard formats. The set is balanced around itself, and is generally intended for creating full decks containing only cards from within the set.

They feature multiple ways to play, including Doll-Centric decks, aggro, and burn, and I’ve done my best to keep the cards both fluffy and balanced.

Several new rules are introduced, though the primary inclusions are Meter Gain and Critical Art, allowing you to search for and enhance characters' staple moves through counters gained during upkeep. The other new inclusion is Parry, which reduces the first instance of damage dealt to a creature with the rule in a round to 0. Bear in mind that it’s on a per ROUND basis, not a per TURN basis, meaning that the ability’s effects don’t become active again until the start of a new round rather than on each player’s turn.

Another critical rule to keep in mind on a meta level is based on Commander: if you use cards entirely from within the set, you can include up to 3 copies of any given card rather than just one. This is to allow people to try lots of the set out in that format without being forced to play extremely unintuitive and inconsistent decks.

I don’t expect this to be seen or played much, but I put a fair bit of time and effort into it. I hope it’s as fun for you to play with as it was for me!

Most of the card art is from Teppen, by the way. It’s a mobile card game made by capcom that’s really damn unique in that it’s real time. Would recommend giving it a try, it’s a blast!
