Space Race V. 1.0

Description
WARNING , READ BEFORE USING !!

WHILE DRIVING IN THIS MAP, MOVE THE MOUSE ONLY ORIZONTALLY IN ORDER TO TURN, DO NOT PULL IT UP OR DOWN, UNLESS YOU WANTO TO TAKE OFF OR SMASH INTO THE GROUND, THE SUSPENSION FIELD CAN STABILiZE YOUR POD ONLY IN A CERTAIN LIMIT !! ENJOY !!!

HI everyone and wellcome to Space Race, the first racing track that implements a suspension field technology in order to keep you above the ground and allowing you to race with your friends at max speed !! The track is approximately
4 km long and it's made of rock, this because a track made of an asteroid creates less framerate drops and lag than a blocks made one. In fact it's because of performance issues that the track looks a little bit " empty " without decorations or fancy stuff; well i don't know about you, but i want to play at 60 fps and not 15 ....

Start line lights do work, by accessing the control panel at the border of the track you have to simply click on the start group and then click on reverse, this will start the lights that will turn on in sequence from yellow to green. To reset the lights just click on reverse again.

The racing pods that are available are 4 but there are also other 4 that are the armed versions. These pods are balanced and will perform very well on the track. You can build your own pod just remember to add artificial masses to it, to balance it and to add thrusters in all directions ALSO pointing up and down, they are essential to stabilize the effect of the suspension field.

I hope you will enjoy this map and the trailer i made for it. Let me know if you want a tutorial on how to make something like this. CIAO from Leo !!!!

I found a solution: use a thicker lower layer or a seperate one for the floor part, this way the textures are corrected and you have a collision mesh on the bottom again, I just used a big cirkle for my track to rest upon, doesn't decrease performance that much because its a solid object.

Are you gonna fix this soon?

Damn, I really wish they didn't update the asteroids...

Hey Leo, I noticed when you put the floortiles at a slight angle in blender, they seem to re-appear, so maybe this could be a temporary fix. It it weird that the 'astroid physics patch' did this, but this could be the workaround. (note that the textures may get distorted)
