Fun asset. Thanks for ALL of your contributions to the workshop.

It's hard to bear all the comments on all the WS items when a lot of them are undercuts or backbiting from people who don't publish anything, themselves. It does take a lot of time to create assets. This was just a proof-of-concept thing - literally discussing something in Discord that morphed into "moving like a sale windpuppet" so I used the tools available at the time to model this and assign the exaggerated sway and publish it all within about 30-40 minutes.

You are correct that these do not move like real windpuppets - they don't pop and jerk and all that fun stuff. in fact, the bends are modeled into them - they essentially keep the same shape and just sway or bend back and forth.

We have found a way to make them actually animated like a real windpuppet but it would take A LOT more time and effort as it involves keyframes and Unity.

Anyhow, sorry I am so sensitive, thanks for the upvote!

No need to be so sensitive. I'm not insulting you. These look really good. But, my comment is more to help set expectation. They do look a little awkward in game moving so slow. Has a very surreal look since you expect them to be whipping around like they would in the real world.

Should I withdraw my positive rating since you seem so upset? I'm happy to provide a downvote, if you prefer.

Thanks for the undercut! Yes, they use the “universal tree sway” mechanic — hence why they are uploaded as trees. I used modtools to increase the sway to the maximum. They do not move like real wind puppets; you are welcome to make your own and see if you can do better — or just continue putting pithy comments on the workshop. Would you like a refund?

They kind of move. They move more like trees, not at all what you would expect.

Well, yes, they move.

WWIAFTM just isn't catchy, though....
